Not up on this stuff myself. The alternative is that he is gambling in the hope that we stay up and then bails at the end of the season. I suspect this is the real reason Pardew left; he was told Sissoko was being sold.

Sissoko out nobody in. Carver will accept anything, he's just grateful to be in charge of his home town club which will blind him and allow Ashley to exploit him with out further investment in your squad. Now against Carver, but you can read Ashley like a book.

It's like a script with that fat ****. We won't sign anyone. De Jong will be the 'replacement'.

Newcastle and PSG in advanced Sissoko talks?
According to media outlet Eurosport France, Premier League side Newcastle and Ligue 1 Champions PSG are in ‘very advanced’ talks over the transfer of midfielder Moussa Sissoko. The Frenchman has been in impressive form for the Magpies this season, and has been subject to a lot of speculation regarding his future.

There were earlier rumours that PSG may be willing to include Yohan Cabaye in the move, an ex-Newcastle player of course, but it is unclear whether Cabaye is part of the talks which Eurosport are suggesting are at an advanced stage. It is certainly improbable at this stage.

GFFN is working on several leads for this story at the time of writing and cannot confirm any of the above at present.

People Saying Ashley Is Ready To Sell Are Completely wrong and very much are wanting to believe this

Debuchy, Cabaye, Ba, Carroll and Sissoko have made in excess of 80m net profit in transfer fees received. 80M in 4 years with an outlay of around 11.5m. not including TV Money, Ticket Money, Merchandise, Sponsership both paid for a free sports direct. Tell me where else can you make that kinda money apart from a casino which would be at alot higher risk!

Trust me Mike is going nowhere. You think he wont own Rangers and NUFC, then your wrong he always gets what he wants.

Reliably informed that Mbwia to be sold as well in the next 7 days! £6M

This is one of those situations, similar to Carroll and Cabaye, where if you genuinely asked me whether the player we were going to lose was worth the money reportedly being offered I'd say no. Sissoko at £20m plus? If he was consistent then yes but he isn't, he's a beast for more regularly now than he was but I'd put him in the £10-15m price range. Cabaye may, arguably, have been worth the £20m+ we got for him but I can't shake how bad he was for us at times during the season we finished 16th (I look at our team from then and still aren't sure quite how that happened...).

The issue is that we wont spend the money. Maybe, just maybe, we'll get in the likes of Delph and Ings for lower fees than they are worth due to their contracts or maybe we will sign them on pre-contracts for the summer and gamble surviving until then but my genuine concern is that Ashley isn't looked into the future of the playing staff whatsoever.

All I see here is standard fare, I don't know what the big fuss is about. We sell one big player most January sales, you get more money. There will be no swap.

This. (save for the Rangers part.)

Why would Moneybags Ashley give up a £25-50M profit each year ?

He can keep things ticking over with minimal investment from him and continue picking up the big bucks from Sky for years to come. Until the Sky money dries up and then sell perhaps not for as much as he could now but he'll have made his money back well before then.

I have seen some reports tonight that Sissoko is actually to be offered a new contract at Toon and is happy to stay for now.
