Isn't the big tache Arthur Pember? Any ideas if these are Mr Morley? please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
The lower one is the one I meant, Alcock, who created the FA Cup. The smaller one I seem to remember someone claiming was someone else when the lad running the statue appeal was looking for images, but it could be him.
I agree, but no disrespect to the three I mentioned but Ashbee's flag should have Hull City AFC's greatest captain on it, in my view. Not some sort of compromise because City is viewed as irrelevant and lousy by the owner.
If nobody's sure what he looks like, we could stick a picture of Ashbee up and call him Capt Cobb-Morley.
We are still going to have Not 606 on it arent we Dutch? I bloody hope so. What other groups want to contribute? I'd prefer individuals contributing than groups. I dont see City of culture having anything to do with a football club banner. HULL NOT 606 BLACK N AMBER ARMY
The Hull City, City of Culture one definately gets my vote. If we are looking at past players i think it would be great to have one of maybe all 4 players who played in all 4 leagues for us, with some clever strapline maybe?
If we want one doing in colour or actual portraits it'd have to be hand painted, which I don't have a problem doing, the flag makers can only produce them in a black and white outline version which I don't think has the same effect, but I'll do whatever everyone wants
That is a very generous offer 1904, i only wish i could be there to see it. Snap his hand off folks !
You could donate the excess to a local charity. You could probably get an on pitch presentation where you could unveil the new banner, present your donation as well as a write up in the program and give yourselves and more importantly the Charity some exposure. Most my charitable donations go to food banks at the moment. Yes they may be abused by some but for others it's breakfast for their children. http://hull.foodbank.org.uk/
