after going on an awful run of two straight defeats, are west hams hopes of finishing in the top 10 now depressingly over?

I think you boys are being far too hard on yourselves.

Of course the dream isn't over for West Ham. There never was a dream, just a couple of flukey scores from sides that ought to have performed better, and which WHFC took advantage of. No one blames you for that.

All you are, now, witnessing is a re-establishment of the natural order of things.

Don't beat yourselves up about it, eh, lads! At least you're not in a relegation struggle, this season.

Wow thats a cringey post.

Top 8 was always the target this season and never changed.

Unlike fans of certain clubs, we dont get too far ahead of ourselves and start making embarrasing predictions based on a few positive results. The media might have done but us fans never did.

For this season and probably a few more yet, spurs will finish above us, but season by season, the gap will get smaller and at some point within the next 5-6 years, we will finish above you in the league and join Arsenal as a top class London side.

And we wont do it by throwing money at expensive flops like Lamela and Soldado either. It will be steady, gradual and calculated.

The future is bright at West Ham. We just need a bit of patience.

You're right, some of our fans have been embarrassing with their predictions. Last season, for example, a lot of Spurs fans were predicting that we'd finish 4th, but we only managed 5th.

Talk about ****ing embarrassing!
<doh>

I think you'll find 99% of Hammers are very grounded and realistic unlike the silly Yid ****s who believe they are destined for greatness. Keep on throwing cash at Slowdildo's and the like.

Oh and no matter *how* bad Arsenal become, you will NEVER finish above them, because that is *your* dream. **** me, they even practically gifted you the chance to finish above them in recent years and you still cocked it up.

Typical mouthy Yids crawling out of the woodwork when they fluke a single good win. **** club with even ****ter fans. You will not finish top 4 this season or any season, you simply are not good enough. Give it another year and Kane will be off to an actual top club (because he will want to win trophies and accolades). But don't worry, it will give you another chance to spunk the money up the wall.

West Ham is slowly but surely on the up, your lot have been floundering around that 6-8th spot for a few seasons now, with no real promise of improvement. You have hit your ceiling, and you all know this deep down.

Forever in Arsenal's shadow.

Us Spurs fans are also quite grounded, you will find. Most of us are too busy waiting for the North London Power-Shift to take place to indulge in any of that delusional stuff.

A Liverpool fan ( I assume ) speaking about possible broken hopes of others ...........Lololololololololol.. sorry ......lololololol

Not that I have any love for the Goons but you will always be in their shadow in North London.

Sounds like Tottenham

Hahaha, ask around, you are the most deluded fans in the EPL

I suppose I can't blame you for enjoying being above them in the league for a week or so. It doesn't happen very often for you after all.

But aside from temporary league position, they are superior to you in every way. Their Squad, stadium and finances just blow yours away.

I have no particular fondness for either club but ask any neutral and they would prefer Arsenal. They just dont have that irritating, unlikeable factor about them like the spuds do.

I know quite a few spurs fans and the ones I like are very few and far between and I think that reflects their club as a whole. A very strange bunch indeed.

<yikes>
Are you kidding!

They are among the most arrogant of beings on the entire planet! They even have Peers Morgan among their fan-base. That fact, alone, should be clue enough for you!

Arrogance is preferable to complete delusion. At least they have the trophies in recent history to back up their behaviour.
