I thought Iâd alleviate the doom and gloom and tell you all about my little dilemma. Thereâs nothing I can do about it but I thought Iâd get it out of my system. Here goes, my little girl is starting reception in September, itâs a good school, the best in the area. Me and the missus are delighted sheâs been accepted as it was our first choice. We went along to an opening evening, a sort of meet and greet to get a feel for the school, which I must admit seems excellent. The teachers are great; the facilities are second to none and the whole atmosphere is marvellous. THEN............they produced the uniform!!!!! Itâs R.................no, I canât even say it, it rhymes with bed. My wife keeps asking me if I like this cardie, this jumper, this dress, Iâm having all on to stop the tears coming. For 4 years Iâve managed to keep my little bundle of joy out of the dreaded âRâ colour and now sheâll be wearing it for 5 days a week. I know this is very sad and I need to get over it but can anyone suggest how?
I’m with Cosmito. BUT My high school colours were red and black and it didn’t affect me mate. I’m still Leeds and proud
Same for me...the Spanish school the kids are at have to wear that colour... i made it clear from the outset...blue and white or Yellow underwear and i wont wash it, dry it or iron it...and it has to come off the minute they get in and they must attend confession on a Sunday!
Get her a little Leeds badge to wear on her lapel. Never wear red myself, and I don't care if that makes me a sad bastard!
Thanks Mighty. Very constructive. I don't think you're taking this serious!! Would you wear claret and blue?
I had red on my tie at my first high school... but then at my second the tie was completely blue and yellow so I think that made up for it. I honestly don't have a single red item of clothing either, not even underwear.
Why would you not wear Scunthorpe's colours? Something to do with them and Millwall both being traditional lower-leaguers or something?
Donald please log in to view this image sending you some much needed bait m8 yours is no good PS. theyre for fishing not lunch i know what you Ducks are like
I think it's more the pointed hoods that signify them though, don't the ones higher up wear different colours?
I think they probably do yeah. So that blows my attempt at a funny comment. Incidentally I was forced to wear a Man U shirt for a friendly kick about the other day and it made me feel really dirty, and Im a Leicester fan, who has no reason to hate man u like you boys, so I can understand the OP's pain.
My heart goes out to Boris, hopefully time will heal his suffering. Patience is the key, he'll have to go through some bad times but hopefully he'll pull through. No one should have to endure something so horrific.
