Haah. Didnt mean it like that. Would be hilarious if it was decided to either team by an own goal from a goal kick.

All we can hope now is that in the long run this somehow serves him (and us) well with the lessons he is learning, cos in the short-term we're ****ed! Hard to see us benefitting from it even in the long run though. There's a reason he's 4th choice keeper.

Hull City's former Newcastle goalkeeper Steve Harper has offered his support to young St James' Park custodian Jak Alnwick after he conceded four goals at Tottenham on Wednesday.

"Rather than criticism, Jak Alnwick needs a proper Geordie reception when he runs out on Sunday lunchtime to give him a lift before the game," Harper tweeted. "Get behind the young lad by singing his name to pick him up & watch him grow in response to it #toonarmy."

If he's going to be between the sticks then this has to be right. Back the lad big time and hope for the best

Has there been any mention to us signing a goalkeeper for cover come January the 1st ?
Someone like Richard right fao who would be a better option than what we have at present even if it's on a loan bases or short term.

Won't be able to bring in a keeper until the Burnley game and Krul's due back to Chelsea game. So would say it's very unlikely.

I've learned not to pay much attention to when a player is supposed to be back. Just have to look at Aarons & Abeid who have had a lot of different dates yet don't appear any closer to coming back.

Reported in the Chronicle, Mail and two others sources that Krul has returned to training today and should play against Chelsea

If Krul isn't fit then just put a cardboard cutout of him in goal. Surely would do as well, if not better than Alnwick

Would probably get better communication with defense as well.

We need Krul, Abeid and Aarons fit to play asap. However I am keen for all 3 to be fully fit before we throw them in.

3 players who would be in my starting xi so fairly important in my eyes. Also when is Obertan back? We went off the rails when we lost his pace. SDJ can't be far away also as he has been back in light training since the end of November.

We should in theory have a sudden influx of new players soon <laugh>

Krul, Janmaat, Santon, Colo, New CB, Abeid, Colback, Sissoko, Aarons, Obertan, Perez

There is some pace in there.

SDJ, Cabella, Tiote, Cisse, Dummett, Elliot, Riviere

No place for Arma, Roberts, Jonas, Sammy, Saylor or Anita.

Haidara, Willo and Gouf taken out the back and disposed of humanely.

    Jobs a goodun.
