I don't think it can count as a "shock" when the BBC has spent the last week continuously discussing how it happened in the past and could happen again.

I disagree. The team is changed so much from that one and there's no pace or movement up top which really allows us to play. Lambert or Balotelli up front on their own will never have us playing good football. Gerrard massively faded through the game too. Two immobile players in the attack and it's no surprise we've got no threat.

That being said. Frustrating considering who we are playing..
I am sorry... He is a legend but in all respects we are just better without Gerrard at the moment....

Yes he scored. But we seem to player slower when he is on the pitch.

Frustrating thing if we've had so many different players in defence and no matter which players we sign or play we are still crap. Which suggests the players aren't the problem, despite the constant scapegoating by our own fans and criticism of individuals by rival fans.

Like I said in another thread, It'd be suicidal not to spend in Jan especially for a GK. With Mignolet we might as well settle for 8th.

One chance totally offside. The first due to lads running out of position and leaving gaps

All lfc need do is actually play a bit but it's 9 v 11

Maybe we can throw in Borini for Lambert. This is just about his level and may pull us through.

That said I fully expect Gerrard to play the full 90 mins with Lucas yanked off at 70 mins.

We are so **** defensively that if Wimbledon had a go at us in the second half, they'll win this match.

    Haven't read back.

Summation of first half... we score, think that we don't need to play any more football to win the game. Lambert decides that it might be nice to help AFCW out by putting his foot into a ball in the centre circle that sends them well into our half for a couple of chances, and that also gives them all the momentum, culminating in the corner that they scored from. Obviously they were going to score from that corner cos Mignolet, ****ing Mignolet, he's the keeper who doesn't do corners, or crosses, or coming off his line. He just blocks stuff that come straight at him. He's absolute gash. Someone needs to tell Markovic to slow the **** down and think as well. He might actually turn out to be a decent player if he didn't just run as fast as he at the opposition every time he has the ball. Then there's the problem that we have possibly three players who are capable of completing a pass.

That's how I saw it anyway.

Gerrard's 'excellent' passing straight to a AFC player stood in the middle ontop of the box. Luckily managed to clean his **** up on the line.

It will end up 3 or 4-1 come full time as they tire.

I really wish Emre Can would get a chance in midfield. He's already shown a glimpse of what he can do with that bursting run earlier (albeit with a poor pass at the end of it). Point is though, he's the only midfielder we've got that I would back to make a bursting run into the penalty area

Anyone managed to work out what the point of Lambert is? Isn't this the sort of game he was supposed to play and score in?

Has done **** all, cause he's offered **** all.

Don't ruin his WUM setup, he was deliberately vague so he could claim to have called it whatever the result is
