Re-run of the 1988 FA Cup Final according to the BBC. History moves in strange ways.

 

Two re-marches - us and Arse; Wimbledon and scousers - in this 3rd round. Record?

 

There was also Sunderland vs Leeds, and tonight, Burnley vs Tottenham. 4 previous finals.

 

AFC Wimbledon v Liverpool isn't a rerun of the 88 final, they aren't even the same clubs involved, nevermind players, managers etc.

On a completely different note, does anyone now think Wimbledon AFC sounds strange? I remember when it all kicked off I thought AFC Wimbledon just didn't sound right at all. Funny how time alters perception.
