A very honest assessment by Bikey and bang on the money. We have been crying out for a target man all Season. But for one of the players to break ranks and say all the things he has said, including the arguments, tiredness and the fact we need new players is a surprise. I think it says a lot about how the players are feeling about the Manager and the owner.

A good interview, not the usual bland stuff. "No-one is happy" sums it up. The latest name to do the rounds is Guy Luzon to replace Bob, a move which would be unlikely to fill anyone with happiness but would cause some amusement for Liege fans no doubt. Roland's Network experiment is suffering from a double whammy, he is still running the club at a loss and his on-field idea of using only cheap players and managers is hitting the wall.

Richard Cawley has said that rumour about Guy Luzon replacing Peeters is nonsense.

Well that's a relief, but our club is at a crossroads, and who knows what will happen next given how unpredictable our autocratic leader is.

We're past being at a cross road. The optimist in me says RD surprised me in the summer by bringing in players like JBG, and even though I was hesitant about Igor, he showed money would be spent (add the delort saga too).

But then I remember last January where we weakened the squad. Surely he can't go this window without investing in another 5 *capable* players? Our team have gone public in saying as much.

What chance does Roland have of finding 5 "capable" players on the cheap? He must be contemplating some sort of Plan B whatever that is.

There should be money available if they feel the target is right ala Delort. I just worry that he will do what he did last January and hold back till the summer when another manager gets a run out.

If he feels BP isn't the man long term then pull the trigger now. I'm concerned we're going to get dragged in to a relegation fight as things stand, and don't see Bob as the man to inject the players with confidence to get us out. I don't think I'm reading too much in to Bikey's comments to see the squad clearly feel something isn't right.

    And the winner is:
    Neil Adams @ 16/1

    Sorry for your loss, Super.

Always a risk after the FA cup weekend and cupsets. But this shows Norwich didn't want to give Adams more money - a decision RD has to make now.

BP: He said: “At this moment the only player we are going to sign is Watt and we are still looking but the transfer window is very long. You need approval of the chairman as well - if he doesn’t want to bring players in you need to cope with that as a manager.”

What do we think to this? A throw away comment, or putting a bit of public pressure on Roland?

Simple statement of fact. Roland doesn't do pressure.

I'd put a tenner on too...

Whilst I do still believe we probably won't get anyone better than Bob in given that they will be Network based (except possibly Riga), I have always been wary of Bob Peeters as I never trust anyone with a first name for a surname.

Ben Elton and Elton John are just two examples. Jamie Lee Curtis is another.

No properly educated English gentleman would ever consider "Elton" or "Curtis" to be acceptable first names. But I forgive you as you have grown up in the decades when our nation is little more than a third-rate appendage to the US. A sort of European Puerto Rico, a lot colder, but with an equally f**ked up economy.

As for Riga, if he were to come crawling back now I would have even more contempt for him than I do now. But then I am "bitter" and "malicious".

That is a deeply bitter and malicious comment, eddie.

Crawling back? He was released of his duties after helping us to safety. Not sure why you hold ill will towards him for that?

Kish, I'm going to chuck a tenner on the night before the Brighton game. I smell money in this bet.

I can't argue with that. My middle name is actually 'Fonzie' because my Dad grew up as part of the 'Happy Days' generation. It could have been worst as my Mum wanted to call me Winkler.

Exactly my point. It would be like a dog licking the hand of his owner who has just kicked him in the stomach. And "owner" is the key word here. Neither he nor Peeters are their own men in the way that Powell, MacCarthy and Pearson are,

Where is Riga anyway? Very surprised that after his wonderful work at Charlton and Blackpool top clubs aren't falling over themselves to offer him a contract. Perhaps he has returned to one of the European giants with whom he spent his coaching/managerial career up to the age of 51, like:
    JS Haccourt
    Espanola Liège
    C.S. Visé
    Sprimont Comblain Sport
    R.A.E.C. Mons

Riga saved us from relegation once on a short-term contract only to get shat on from a great height by Roland. I can't see that he'd let himself in for a repeat, he's have to come back on more favourable terms, which probably rules him out as far as Roland is concerned.
    I can't understand your attitude, B&M, it's like Vol's anti-Powell campaign or Houndal's anti-Parky.

"A different type of player. We don’t have a target man - someone who is 6ft 5ins. Cardiff, Blackburn and other teams have it - we don’t. We need someone who can hold the ball.”

    Someone like Kermorgant...?

Anyone who has played at CB in a decent level of football will tell you that the single most demoralising thing is the ball not sticking up top.

We are in desperate need of someone up top who can:

    A) Hold onto the ball in order to take the pressure of our back four.

    B) Act ad a foil for Vetokele.
