Did anyone read the article today on the official site; match verdict from Bobby Z.

    Did anyone notice his comment:
“They had a good gameplan and took their chances.”
    Read more at http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/q...nited-fa-cup-2182303.aspx#UzKpkVccPW86vfdT.99

Meaning.... we didn't have a good game plan. Meaning Bobby Z thinks Harry didn't make a good enough game plan.

I know some of you will be saying "no ****, Sherlock!" But would you read that as him personally saying Harry got it wrong? It may not be what he's thinking but it's what we're all thinking. No excuses for Harry.

Anyway, Bobby looked good last night and I think he's a key player for us this season. He always makes himself really busy whenever he's on the pitch. I great role model for the other players.

I don't think he'd explicitly undermine the manager but the emphasis on Sheffield United in the positive does put us comparatively in the negative.

I also agree that we look significantly more competitive as a team when BZ is on the pitch - he occupies defenders and provides an outlet when we're under pressure.

Yes, I was under no illusion that he's having a swipe at Harry. But I think you can see a sentiment there which he may or may not have wanted to let slip.

Also, I saw yesterday that no one was making the Sheffield defence work. In my opinion, half or more than half of beating a team is down to simply putting pressure on them and making them work, which in turn provokes mistakes and weaknesses in them. A cross went in yesterday in the first half and no one was there because they weren't expecting it. YOU SHOULDN'T EFFING HAVE TO EXPECT IT!!! People should be in and around the box at all times to make the defence work and worry. There's always a chance that the ball will slip through by chance even. So make the defence work, run all around them, get around the box, pull their effing shorts down, I don't care. Just do something rather than effing stand there or try and pick the ball up from a deep midfielder like an effing relay race. We effing see a relay race at half effing time! We don't need to see the strikers doing it during the effing game.

You are completely right - even just standing in the box when I cross comes in can force the defence to concede a corner and that's without even trying to pull them out of position or waring them down.

If you know you're more skillful than someone else, then the way to prove it is to match them in effort and awareness and the extra skill comes to the fore and makes the difference.

I was not able to be at this game but it sounds like a re-run of the Swindon game a season or two back. They wanted it, they fought for it and they got it!

Sadly, not surprised but still disappointed. One day, we may get a cup run!

Aye. But our players simply don't have the confidence. And you wonder why because the squad is almost entirely different from 2 years ago. Why do this new set of players have no confidence. Is there an evil spirit at looming at Harlington or Loftus Road?

You know, I'm used to QPR losing. What pissed me off yesterday was that QPR simply do not take the cup seriously. 2 wins in 12 years or something? That's a disgraceful record and you cannot argue against the notion that QPR simply don't give a toss about cup games. If you gave a toss, you'd have won more than that by luck!

What really annoys me is that many people (it was a big attendance for a cup game) paid to be there and sit there on a particularly cold day and we were served up complete bollocks.

I've made a decision now to never go to a cup game unless it's in a later stage of the cup or if there have been several years of good performances to show that they have started taking it seriously. Cup games are no longer for me because I feel like I'm basically being mugged for £15.

I think bobby was the wrong choice as sub. Our players should have been good enough to exploit the oppo and started to with the introduction of Vargas and Isla. Having bobby just saw us lump it up to him which they were happy to play as just made if a scrappy affair.

We then saw the ridiculous use of bobby as the lone man left up when defending corners and free kicks! Surely he should have been in assisting with his height and heading ability with a quicker break away player able to exploit the counter??

Well all our players are too exhausted because of the style of football to keep getting up and down. We lump it forward they double up on BZ or Charlie. Who are isolated because ball is lumped long before the midfield can get up with play they've lost the ball. So unsurprisingly some of the midfielders can't be arsed to get up there and make that run.

3-5-2 a mistake. Played to save Rio who looks like he is treading water. Donaldson should have played.

Also no need for Henry. As with last year in Championship he is useless when onus is on us to pass and move and create the openings

Also they clearly weren't motivated and the manager clearly didn't give a toss and that fed through to the players with a performance lacking effort.

Plus I definitely saw signs Harry losing the dressing room and the players doubt his competence.

Most telling quote yesterday was Campbell-Ryce, "Spurs will play more football".

We played into the League One side's hands by playing football suited to league one at best. If the fans see Harry's obvious incompetence then so do the players.
