    I would describe myself as a feminist in broad terms.I support equality for women totally. But I have serious doubts that he is guilty. It's unusual for someone to continue to protest innocence after their sentence is completed. There is evidence he was offered bad legal advice and the family seem to have said something along the lines of "Tell the truth and trust in the Lord". The "victim" certainly seems to have been complicit in the shagging.

    The media are leading this. The BBC reported with barely disguised glee that a petition to prevent him getting a contract with Oldham was the "Fastest growing ever". There is in my mind a hidden agenda here. It's not as if he dragged some biddy down a back alley and gave her a reet gradely pumpin'.

    He was found guilty and his appeal was thrown out, he's a convicted rapist whether you think he's guilty or not.

    Going by your comments it appears you know little if anything about the case anyhoo.

    He was tried and convicted in a court of law. Therefore he is guilty. If he was innocent they wouldn't have sent him to the pokey.


    Arrows pointing at his name would suggest that young Toby is finally revealing the dark secret that has caused his bitterness for all these years.

    My issue isn't with the sentence. It's the law that I have a problem with. It basically says that in certain cases women aren't capable of being responsible for their own actions.

    We've been over this before, Evans turned up at a hotel uninvited and had sex with a drunken girl, in the eyes of the law that is Rape, it's been decided that way to protect people who cannot protect themselves.

    If a girl is too drunk to consent to sex and you have sex with her anyway then you are raping her. Rape is having sex without the persons consent. Why is it you have a problem with that?
