Watching Harry's team makes every LR jpurney soo boring. Long balls no midfield capable of defending AND passing the ball. I think we are doomed with HR. We need someone younger dho can lift the spirit and the quality of our game. End of rant b
I made the mistake of watching that. He thinks our home form is excellent? Our home results are, I can't think of a single game where the result could not have been reversed (including the ones we lost) quite easily.
Good point. Our results are more the result of a one off act of bravery and not a winning strategy. We have never dominated any team eith our game. Now even a league 1 team shows better ball possession in midfield.
That isn't quite what he said. He kept saying that it would be difficult to find a decent player to sign on loan. However the overall point you make is entirely valid. The other point he kept ramming home was that we were tired having been forced to play 4 times over Xmas. Now that really is pathetic as an excuse. So will all19 other teams in the Prem. by Tuesday. So far this tiredness hasn't affected any of them to the extent that it leads to their team being dumped out of the Cup by lower league opposition. Football really is very simple. If he got them to concentrate on the basics, the ball would do the work (if we knew how to pass) and the the eager willing League 1 opponents would do the running round trying to get hold of it
Just in case anyone hasn't seen it. The BBC website is showing a fairly decent length summary of the 'highlights' of the game. It has to be said, the players did make some effort to score but were undone by some comical defending for all three goals especially the second and third.
Perhaps he'll also ask Tony for one of these so he can high-tail it back to Sandbanks a bit quicker after matches & training sessions? please log in to view this image Former Man Utd manager has arrived at Huish Park in style. Always great to see you at the game, Sir Alex
I was there..and have to say I felt we were in control and it was all a matter of time until they got a break away and scored. I hadn't realised quite how culpable Ned was in this until I saw the highlights All goals were horrendous defensive mix-ups BUT It was our defence that was rested today Our defence:-............ Green...Isla, Caulker, Dunne, Hill. So of these 4 of the back 5 were rested....only Caulker started and he was taken off...Isla eventually came on. The defence was all over the shop...at times playing 3 at the back at others a flat 4...and when we went 2-0...and Islas came on and Ned went to CB alongside Rio...it was complete mayhem There was no leadership from Rio...Caulker was covering for him all through, but Ned is not as good as Caulker Maybe just maybe.....it might not have the effect we are all fearing when the true back 5 get back together...Dunne and Hill could not have played in this match after the Xmas period It does show what a weak squad we have, so I agree with Arry on that, but one must ask Arry whose fault is that?
I find it hard to watch Redknapp's interviews. The journalists in the room, surely, are secretly smirking at the paucity of his vague, incoherent answers. He comes across as almost senile - blinking and shrugging with confusion in a world he pretends not to understand at all. If journalism were a more honest profession, surely there would have been a number of articles in major newspapers questioning the man's competence and honesty. I can only hope that he has some magical plan to conjure up wins from the supposedly more benign set of away fixtures coming up in the second half of the season. Because it's genuinely hard to imagine many more home wins given the strength of the opposition coming to Loftus Road in the months ahead. The failure to pick up wins against Palace and Swansea leaves us, I fear, in a really sticky spot. I can't really understand why supporters' negative reactions to those two games in particular have been relatively muted.
If hes playing a game with TF its a f****** joke. We could all keep us up with 100m Arry. Im still fuming about today and as Ive posted elsewhere Petrasso, Donaldson should be in the squad regularly gaining experience and where was SWP?
None of this is new. All of this is what Spurs fans said about him. He has never brought players through, never done tactics. Just frustrating that we re stuck with him. Not much we can do about it. Why did we buy Mutch? Players morale sapped - did they try? My first away game of the season next week - Burnley. What team and pep talk can he give. I wonder if his pre match and post match talks to the team are in the same vein as his press interviews. Must be mind blowingly awful - can you imagine the drivel you would hear at half time? Nothing clinical - all chiches. I think he is just old - and so more conservative, not going to change, not listen to others. Would you hire your grandad to manage QPR? There is an adag- you're about to need surgery - do you go to the surgeon that has done 10000 operations and seen it all but is 75 years old or the 34 year old who hs been training and knows the latest techniques but has less surgical experience...
Can't be arsed with his pre or post-match conferences anymore.......they are practically the same everytime and full of s**t. What's the point?
I was just reading some comment from TF, from his facebook page and he said ...... “Getting hammered by Qpr fans. only concern is the families affected by our plane. But experimental side today. 19 points. League not cup.” My reply is .... CRAP, having Ferdinand & Calker up the back is no experiment. We played a pretty strong team, with Charlie up front I might add.
The last time Fernandes claimed to be getting "hammered" by QPR fans (I think his words last time were "getting abuse"), I tried and failed to find ANY tweets aimed at him which any reasonable person would describe as actually abusive. This time, too, I've not found a single tweet of that kind. Perhaps they do exist and perhaps someone would be kind enough to direct me towards them. But until then, I'm minded to think that this is a Fernandes ploy designed to win sympathy and shut down legitimate criticism.
He looks and sounds like a man clueless and defeated. He kept shrugging his shoulders as if to say 'what will be will be'. That sounds like a man without a plan and when you have such key games coming up, that really worries me. Do you think Pulis or Pardew don't have a plan? They have plans and they have teams that are re-invigorated. We look leaderless and deflated. That can only be bad for the month ahead. I really fear the worst...
LoftforWords @LoftforWords QPR have played 22 games this season and had 3 intnl weeks off. Sheff U don't get intnl breaks and have played 33 times. #tired #sluggish
I thought he genuinely looked embarrassed.... which is a good thing, really. If he looked confident in that interview, I would have been worried.
We've actually only played 14 games - our pre-season (that part where we get match fitness) lasted into October....
