I don't get how you guys are using the non-grey default version. Okay the avatar is aligned properly - but its like something designed in the 16th Century. Its horrible - worse than the grey which I don't actually mind now. Too much paleness. The grey is a lot more professional - like Champ Manager, and surely the point of the upgrade was to actually 'upgrade?'
I thought about that yesterday and was meant to ask you... Glad you've joined the normal settings now though
It wasn't to upgrade how it looks.. from my understanding was to upgrade the software which was getting too many viruses which is why we had that period when hardly anyone could get online and post. The aesthetics will just be upgraded over time once the important things are done. I gather it was a bit of a rush job to get the upgrade in place in time for Jan transfer window which is busiest time for the site. Oh, and the reason me and Gerrez probably prefer the blue option is because the mod tools is easier to get to #clique
Ive not got the blue option, maybe I'll get it further down the line then. Strange as it seems other non mods like Astro have got it
Anyone else getting a few odd alerts? Just had one to say "Diego replied to a post in Rival thread". When I went to see what he had said, he'd replied to post from UIR not concerning anything I had written Noticed it earlier as well on a different thread And just as I say this, I got the notification to say Dr had replied to this thread with the above comment in which he didn't quite me or anything... hope not starting to get notification for every post made
The one im using the Grey Alternative just makes it look weird. The only other option is the Default one and that makes it all look even worse!
Yes, the grey used to be the default but I think Mick changed it... the default is the one I use and prefer it. Still needs work doing to it like more distinction between the grey and white but feel a lot better than the other. Think just get used to it after using it for a week or so...
It seems to only be certain threads so might be something we've both clicked on, I'll investigate and if cant find I'll ask on mod board and let you know
Just worked it out.. it's because for some reason it marked them as "watched threads" which then notified you when anyone posted on it (handy option to have but not if it's for every thread I've looked at in last 3 days ) Go to "watched threads" at the top, then you'll see a huge list. On the right there is an option to manage watched threads and then a drop down to clear them all. Also if you go to the main home page, there will be little binoculars next to ones that you've marked as watched. For some reason it seems to have automatically marked any that I've read/posted in.
Just worked out why as well... Go to your preferences under your profile and the top one udner options is ticked.. says something like auto watch threads you create/reply to... I've unticked that so then don't start re-watching loads of them
