If you want to earn some kudos, we need some players with good old English names.

There needs to be more archibalds, bobs, franks, Fred's etc about.

English so of be preferable but not essential.

If you can find a Montgomery I'll admit that you know your onions and are worth listening to.

    Do you know any?

Apparently we're looking at former Sheffield United midfielder Nick Montgomery, now 33 and playing for Aussie club Central Coast Mariners.

Andre Ayew has been spotted in merseyside!...I really think we should be looking at this guy! I've heard news that Bruce was interested in him in Summer!

Judging from a post on twitter,we are again looking at Steven Fletcher from sunderland, he was left out in their last match against man city and many believe he is surplus to requirements at the stadium of light! apparently we could snap him up for £4m and QPR are also monitoring him, not sure, with jela and abel up front, that he will get many starts for us!

I honestly couldn't see this as, although he puts in a shift every game, he is in decline at this stage in his career and I very much doubt he could do anything for us. I believe Steve Bruce has worked with him at Sunderland and would know he is not the player he was. Just my opinion but I think we would be looking at a striker who could link up with both or either of our current strikers to get some penalty box action.

Can't say, I would like to see him here either in all honesty, it would be a similar signing to danny graham (completely different player) but I just think it will be the same, although I do think we need a striker, because if jela or hernandez were to get injured, we don't have much up front. I'd like to see the pairing of sagbo & Hernandez though!

Plus he must score in at least every game. A simple TigerRoo requirement.

To be fair Sagbo hasn't had any game time, and he just looked rusty tonight, however on balance if we can recover the money I would let him go.

Aluko just isn't consistent enough, but as an impact sub he is worth keeping, always looks better as a sub than when he starts.

Agree about Aluko. Ince looked much more effective and is really pushing for a start at the weekend in place of Ramirez.

Aluko isn't a striker, he did well there in the championship because his skill and pace could outclass defenders at that level, but defenders at this level are a different matter and are wiser to the tricks.

I don't see why Bruce keeps using him there as he keeps under performing. Much better out on the wing.

Which wing do you reckon? Left and hit the by-line or right to cut in?
