    Saturday January 10th is my birthday and l have decided not to participate in anything remotely to do with NUFC or football in general. I have taken this decision in order that l might just enjoy my day. However, l forgot that my darling hubby is taking me to London to see a show and then for supper at my favourite eatery. Somehow avoiding the right royal humping l fear we are going to get may prove difficult even for a lass of my undoubted talent!!!

    It's a New Year, the sun is shining here in Manchester and I can see us getting something (other than the aforementioned right royal humping) out of this. However I am nearly bottom of the Prediction League, I have bet on MrTiote saying something positive this year (have to say the odds were very good) and I am also predicting that the oil price will be back above US$100 per barrel by March and the Monster Raving Loony Party will win the next election.

    If Hoddle selects an attacking line up I can see us winning 3-1, however if Dowie opts for trying to keep them out and catching them on the break we'll lose.

    According to one newspaper report Krul will be returning for this match, if so would make a big difference for the defence and even a partially fit Krul is a massive upturn in goalkeeping quality.
