The goal celebration, I thought he'd just sored the winner in the 90th minute of the CL final. This is infinitely worse than us v Leicester. Rooney not fit for Yeovil's bench on todays performance
Anyone in the waxing lyrical deluded media world who believes Rooney is a central midfielder, should be shown this game. Every single weakness in his play as a CM being exposed. Against Yoevil Town ffs
Poor but through. Think rafael and shaw were taken off as part of their recovery. Same with di maria coming on. Rooney was rubbish. Fletcher was worse. Di maria looks happy though. Which bodes well. Took his goal well and looked as fast as ever. Great goal by herrera too.
Yeh I agree, the problem is that if he knew that, then his decision to start with the formation he did looks even more ridiculous. He should have gone with a simple 4-4-2 with a choice from Lingard, Herrera, Januzaj, Fletcher, in midfield. Then had Wilson and Rooney up front. He set up a team to fail in that first half and I don't blame them on the performance in that first 45 mins. Fault for that lies squarely with LVG.
BT Sport are such donkeys. The Yoevil Town manager is out on pitchside doing post-match interview and Steve McManaman reckons that LVG isn't out doing the same bcos he must not be happy with his team's performance. Like LVG is going to come out and do an interview pitchside ffs
Actually both are literally the walking dead. FFS! Daniel Taylor @DTguardian 49s49 seconds ago Louis van Gaal here in press conference says Rafael da Silva has a fractured cheekbone and Luke Shaw has ankle injury #mufc
Me too. I bet other big teams would love to draw us too..especially at OT . The thing about playing United these days is sheer unpredictability. They have no ****ing idea which team and what system they will face. How can they know when when LVG himself doesn't know 24 hrs before the match with injuries happening at a rate of 2 new ones a week? What they know is that they will have to work damn hard for anything they get...
