Oh what joy. That will wind up the Dullers. Cash Converters and Neil Hudgells Ambulance chasers. What next ? The sout stand to be sponsored by Cash for Gold or Poundland ? How about not bothering unless its something good ?
To a point i also do agree with your post as well. But i just have a thing for the names of companies that sound like they feed off the poor and strugglers in life. I never thought i would wince as much again as i did when Hull City had TWYDALE TURKEYS on the shirts. Its is very much what is on the inside that counts and if they get my team back to the PL then it could say Tax Dodgers or Squatters on the shirts. This area is so iffy imo though. hhhmmmmm
It would be more interesting to know how much the next biggest offer was, and who it was from. Cash Converters is going to cost us shirt sales. If the next offer was £250k it only needs to cost us about 750 shirts each of home and away kits and it's cost us money to take the best financial deal.
Arco, a market leading local company, is replaced by an ambulance chaser as East Stand sponsor. Forest Pines, a luxury golf resort, is replaced by a meat company as West Stand sponsor. Totesport, an international online bookies, is replaced by a pawn shop as kit sponsor. The Cranswick PLC one is no great disaster, but the other two are as down-market as you can get and for those of us with a great deal of pride in our home city and how it's already badly perceived, this is a proper kick in the bollocks. This is not about being on a high horse, I think it's quite legitimate that we are losing good sponsors and replacing them with **** ones. Commercially it's a poor decision as once you go down this route, it's almost impossible to change the perception that potential sponsors have about the club being a down-market operation.
Eh? We kinda do need the money. Like, quite badly. In fact, the more money the better. I would go as far as to say, we really would like that money, as currently we have very little of it going around. If I was an expert, I'd say, "Hey, that football club needs some money". You get the gist of what I'm saying....
Perhaps Mr Allam would like to sponsor the south and noth stands. The fek off Hull fair stand and and the OOH look at me at my massive gift stand.
Right so what power does Hull KR have over arrangements? Both clubs have a lease don't they, so does SMC pay the rent to Hull CC? Do Hull KR pay the SMC or directly to Hull CC?
Tigercity. The stadium management company run the stadium. EFF C pay the stadium management company. The stadium management company is owned by the same people who own Hull City. The EFF C lease is a long term secure arrangement which is quite lucrative to the stadium management co.
As Boothferry has mentioned, KR have no involvement as they don't play at the KC. The SMC is a management company set up to manage the day to day running of the stadium on behalf of it's lease holders(Hull City AFC and Hull FC) along with arranging any events they decide to stage. It is supposed to be an independent management company, but as it's owner is Assem Allam and it's run by Adam Pearson, it's not all that independent. As for what the SMC pay the council, it's bugger all.
They rent office space to HCC and charge them money. HCC actually give money to the stadium management co. You couldn't make it up and this arrangement should not be given up. One of the reasons I would be against the current proposals for a sale of the ground and car park.
As long as the North Stand remains reserved for away fans, the club should get Gwenap to sponsor it: The Gwenap North Stand - - - full of dildos. We could also work up some good chants based on that.......!!
If we don't have too much money and we need some massive sponsorship deal of 300 000 grand , which is a lot of money but when compared to the player's wages looks a lot less , how come the owner has enough money to give KR a huge gift of £1 million if we " have very little of it going around" as you have put it. Surely if we really needed this sponsorship money to keep the club going then we could have hardly enough money to give to KR , but we do and that is the proof that we don't need any sponsorship money at all
