Guys I think we are being a bit harsh on the youngsters, what competative football do they get. This is the first opportunity this year. Until we are able to play quality reserve/u21 temas there is no chance of them improving unless they are given game time in games like this.
I seldom critisize our players but.......on the bright side Tiendelli was great yestetday , maybe left the fort unguarded at time , thought one of his best plays was.going after Power after that attack on Barrow .Our best defender on the day
I do think that if players are old enough to wear the shirt they're old enough to take both praise and criticism. But I just hope young Fulton and equally young King didn't read a post comparing them in those terms. Not nice.
Can't believe the slating our youngsters are getting, particularly Fulton. He had no where near the nightmare game some blind, thick or simply stupid posters on here are trying to say he had. Get a grip, he and others who played yesterday are no more than students, they are NOT hardened professionals. As students ALL did OK yesterday gaining confidence and invaluable experience of being part of a team which won 6-2 away from home. Much to be discussed in the classroom Monday no doubt.
Firstly Mrs M, Welcome to our Jack mad house, your presence should temper the inmates on here, which would be a very welcomed break............... Now to the footy, I agree with most of your post above, but would add that Dyer is one of those players that doesn't take kindly to sitting on the bench (I know what player does), and he has had more than his fair share under various managers, which is a shame given his talent, and at the minute he has my full sympathy as he was by far one of our best goal scorers early season before Monk decided in his wisdom to bench him for Monty, when in fact Routledge should have been benched, given his poor start this season, (by the way his legs are stubby) anyway Dyer will soon get his top form back, as he has the speed talent and ability to do it, soon as his countenance has lifted of cousres, he does like a sulk too, but his fight for the goal yesterday showed that it wont be long before he will be back to his best. I have a soft spot for Dyer!............. PS: Tiendalli blows too hot and cold, though he did have a good game yesterday, lets hope he finds some consistency in the League when he's used, as he backs of far too much and back passes when up against quality.
Some strange and unwarranted comments regarding the youngsters .Fulton looked nervous and after preventing Barrows shot from going on target he could have gone into shell but he kept plugging away although he wasn't the best on the day he didn't disgrace himself either .
Thank you DragonPhill But don't diss Routs's legs or you and I will fall out. Bit nasty Mr Stumpy. I'm not blind and I don't think I'm thick but hubby says I am when he's being a dick. Not sure what stupid adds to it. Same as thick maybe. I think Fulton had a bad game because he did have a bad game. Nightmare may be a little harsh but he was poor. A talented young lad who has shown some promise but didn't have his best day. King was an improvement in my view. Like I said, if you wear our shirt you can expect criticism if you don't perform. If you think Fulton played well you can say so but I wouldn't agree. But I would never compare any of our players to dirt or dog poo. Definitely not nice.
It was the right time to bring on some of our youngsters yesterday, and no criticism from me, I thought they did well, and it's easy to get caught in the way of a shot on goal when in the mixer, no big deal at all, I know, I've been there myself and done it, just lucky enough for it to hit my backside and go in!..................
Phil he never gets the chance of a run of games. He came on against Man Utd and though, great he looks like he wants to make a play for a starting spot and again yesterday (I know it was L2 opposition) he was good defensively and certainly got forward as well. He would be a no worse altrnate to either \r\angel or Jazz ( who has had a poor las 4 or 4 games).
I assume your talking of Tiendalli? and I agree but he was very poor last season, and not any where near as good as his first season.
Didn't go trundles but I bought hubby one of those new Maiz Box things for Crimbo so got a nice live feed. I don't have a clue how it works but hubby says it's good. Not a bad picture. I think maybe Fulton's nerves got the better of him yesterday because he's a good a lad and has talent. Just a bad day for him I think.
Sorry Phil, yes I was and agree he was poor, but he looks like he is up for it this year and the bit parts he has had he has done well.
