Anya is reportedly out injured on Sunday. Not a bad thing imo. I'd play Gomes, Peredes, Angella, Cathcart, Pudil, Munari, Abdi, Toszer, Forestieri, Ighalo, Vydra.
Some Chelsea fan on a general forum just said "with the team rumoured to be playing we could beat them" Well unless its the Under 16s or something I wouldn't get too excited. We'll either get hammered or lose late on....
Although it would always be nice to win - this game is more about money than the result - the Championship is what matters this year
I do not expect us to win this one, but I do remember days when we came up against higher league teams and thought that maybe, just maybe, we had a chance. Others felt the same because the attendance would often be the highest of our season. Today I see teams like Rochdale, who must have thought they had a chance against Forest who are not doing well, only attracted 6.791 fans. Preston against Norwich only had 9,087, and Rotherham a miserable 5,875 against Bournemouth. Is the FA cup losing it's attraction, can fans find it difficult to afford to go to these games, or are we getting a backlash from the 'big' clubs putting out the reserve team and treating the cup as secondary to the main business of the season?
I think it is a combination of all you say, Frenchie. I used to get excited by these games in my youth. There was just a possibility that we would win (ask Barry Endean) but now I expect that we will be easily beaten. I'm not even sure I will get up to follow the game tomorrow. The whole exercise seems an unnecessary interruption of the league programme, like the international break.
If only we had a home tie against a team 2 leagues below us - could have fielded more or les a full team and won easily. Oh, hang on....
