I'm incredibly pleased to see Walcott looking like he will start today and Ozil making his way back into the fold. As far as I'm concerned they are two of the first three names to go on our team sheet.

Walcotts pace and finishing ability give us something very dangerous, it regularly stops teams pushing onto us too much and gives us a lightning quick counter attack. He also spends all his time looking to run in behind the defense and he is one of the only players in our team who have this mentality.

And Ozil. Ozil is one of the most talented football players in the world and his passing allow us to play **** but still have good opportunities during a game. He will be a big lift to the team. I think we have missed him a lot more than people realise.

But more exciting than that... We are actually going to have both of these players fit at the same time! I've been waiting to see ozil and Walcott playing together since the moment the Ozil signing was announced and due to injuries we are yet to see them build up a partnership. Walcott is the perfect player for Ozil.

I predict we will see a noticeable upturn in our fortunes with these two in the side.

(Thought I'd make a thread with some positive injury news lol!)

Great news indeed and I too have been waiting for them to come back and play together. They can potentially set the Prem alight. But we need to give both some time to bed in as both have hardly played, let alone together. Add to the fact that they will need to know how to work with two of our newest recruits - Sanchez and Welbeck. Sanchez who is playing great stuff and Welbeck who is working well with our team.

Wenger will have his work cut-out to get the right balance in attack. If he gets it right then we will be explosive.

Pinning your hopes to returning injured players is a dangerous game. We were hardly playing good football with Ozil in the team earlier this season were we? They should hopefully make a difference yes... though it's easy to big up a player when they're injured. And just to be clear... Welbeck is not 'working well' with our team. He's doing what he's always done for all teams: worked hard, been likeable, chased down defenders and scored hardly any goals.

Given just how many injuries we have it's common sense that there will be improvements with more players available.

I'm not suggesting these two are back now and so we are going to win the league lol, but it's good news to see two of our best players returning to action.

What's your 1st 11 with Ozil and Walcott back? Cazorla surely isn't part of it. And yes I know it is a squad game these days, but there is a 1st 11.

Great to see them back. Bit offensive to call Ozil bug eyes. Wish people were a bit more respectful.

If everyone was fit Wenger would probably do something stupid like play Ozil right wing and Wilshere left wing.

    I think I'd go for:

    ---------------Szcz---------------
    Debuchy--mert--Kosc--Gibbs
    ----------Arteta*--Ramsey-----
    Walcott-----ozil-----Sanchez
    -------------Giroud-------------

*Diaby if he was ever fit would be immense in this role and displace Arteta.

    Or:

    ---------------Szcz---------------
    Debuchy--mert--Kosc--Gibbs
    --------------Arteta-------------
    Walcott--Ozil--Cazorla--Sanchez
    ----------------Giroud------------

    Depending on the opposition.

It's quite ****ed up when you think Ozil-Walcott have yet to properly link up together ever since we signed Ozil last season.

Even worse that arguably our best attackers - Sanchez, Ozil and Walcott have never played together!

Wenger always seems to play Ozil in the same way - in the attacking positions, switching between just behind the striker, and running into space on the left and right, switching with the other attacking midfielders. Regardless of where he starts on the teamsheet

    Walcotts a huge boost.

Am I the only one who has been getting infuriated by 'The OX'??

He makes soo many good runs but they nearly always come to nothing. He gets virtually no goals and his assist record is equally poor. For me he doesn't deserve to start because the guy has absolutely no end product.

Walcott will overtake Oxos goal tally for this Season within the next two games. I guarantee it.

It's an embarrassment that a club our size has Flamini in anyone's first choice XI.

Come on Wenger, do something about it.

No worries. Thought you'd like it. :)

You think Flamini is good enough to be a first choice player then?

No sir, but I do wish his ability was equal to his passion & commitment as he would then be our best player by a country mile.

If that were the case Emmanual Frimpong would be England captain!

The same reason nobody listened when people said Owen Coyle would make a good Arsenal manager.
