Preaching to the converted there - I was one of the ones who never wanted him to go! There were quite a few of us - we just didn't make placards!
Cos the lad has got talent and he fits us perfectly, LB's are like rocking horse **** and when a decent one comes along for a team like us, you have to splash the cash and buy.
We are in for some nail biting afternoons at the SOL. as just scraping thr,o here does not augur well, take out the wonder strike from PVA and we did not look at all convincing in front of goal, some tweaking needed Gus and I dont mean Jozy or Danny. We need a proven top striker to make this "system" work and we just ain't got one.
As Gus just said himself in a press conference recently, some managers think they're so good they can change some players, and be able to deal with the more troublesome ones. Perhaps Gus thought he could handle sick notes better than other managers have.
Perhaps our defenders can lead the shooting training with the strikers this week. Show them how to put the ball in the ****ing net!
Injuries tied his hands again here Bri. but I know what you mean, we will have to wait and see how Gus deals with the squad in the coming weeks, it certainly will be interesting, colds and flu permitting
Not team selection mate, i know he didn't have many options, especially at the back. Sounded like they were pressing us high and stopping us playing and forcing us deep. We never have an answer for that at home. Should not have been happening at home to a poor championship team
And I have/did, so Chill mate. Where my boys are involved all I see is red, so luckily I'm in a good mood.
Sunderland and Leeds in fracas in the wheatchief after the game. Frank Wheatley in his element apparently.
Only got the radio commentary to go on but according to that they gave us some problems in the 2nd half. Would you agree?
