well according to the thread: Tremmel - rubbish Fulton - rubbish Defence - rubbish at defending crosses and set pieces Gomis - good second half despite the opposition, can he do it next week? Dyer - jury out Tiendelli - plus Richards - plus Emnes - jury out - (hard worker, greedy, selfish, runs his socks off) Barrow - ok second half Carroll - not many comments, second half ok? 6-2 win against lowly opposition. take the win, how many of this lot will start next week? Obviously Gomis and ......................
My verdict on the players: Tremmel - ****ing terrible!!!! We do need a better number 2. Jazz - Ok, pressed up field, a coupe of silly mistakes but nothing to write home about. Amat - Look comfortable on the ball, but off the pace of the game and got dragged out for the second goal. Bartley - Thought he wasn't too bad, he was the main one challenging for the deep crosses. I think the pairing lacked cohesion, and the worry at set pieces I think caused mainly by having no confidence in Tremmel. Tiendalli - Had a decent game, pressed forward when he could. Fulton - Disappointing, he showed great promise last season. Again probably down to lack of game time. Carroll - Not much first half tidy on the ball, but del good second half. He took is goal really well, good composure. Dyer - Frustrating!!! he had bags of room out wide. Oh to have the Dyer that attacks and takes defenders on. Barrow - Not much first half, but I'm sure the Tranmere lads just wanted to kick the lad. Some good work second half and rewarded with a goal. Hope he can keep it up. Emnes - Frustrating at times, where a pass would have been easier than taking the ball and wasting it. But overall decent performance. Gomis - My MOTM, different player to Bony, and ran his socks off. Real good all round display held the ball up, decent passing, set up two goals and getting two himself. Hope he can keep this up as I do rate the lad.
Longtime Swans fan just signed up - be nice to me! Watched this game with hubby and we both thought Dyer was kinda dire (LOL) and doesn't seem to think he can beat his man any more. What's happened, Nathe? :0 But wow that Barrow can play. Sooo quick. Our number 2 keeper tries hard but is very flaky. Fulton poor today. Lacks confidence maybe? Emnes was our busiest player and Tiendalli was a revelation. Great going forward and defended very well. Could push Taylor for his spot? About time Gomis started doing the business and he will get lots of confidence from today. A class act that may now show us what he can do. I love Wilfy and he edges Gomis on finishing so far anyway, but Gomis seems very good at getting into good positions and beating defenders. The finishing will come I hope. I've got a soft spot for Mr Routledge. He's not been great recently but did great when he came on and showed them how to finish. Great legs on that man All in all a good result for us. Remember we were playing a team on their own patch with the crowd behind them on a well dodge pitch and anything could have happened. Now let's take this on to the League. What's a bin dipper?
Welcome to the madhouse Mrs Miggins! Agree with most of what you say - but think Dyer was OK - good goal, just hope he can regain the form he showed at the start of the season. In spite of his luke warm performance against QPR am quite excited about Gomis; hope an extended run in the first team will allow him to fulfill his potential - he has obvious talent so hope he performs so that Bony has to work to get his place back!!
Watching the goals of Cardiff/Colchester game didn't realize the game was played behind closed doors.
It is interesting when at the game like to listen to what peoples opinions are when talking about players performance. I can only say what was though around where I was standing. All thought Jazz was very poor and that Tiendalli had an excellent game and thought he should be given his chance ahead of Jazz. Yes I know it was a league2 side but I suppose he can only play whats in front of you. Again nearly all agreed that Fulton was pretty poor yesterday. But all our front 4 For want of better terms (Emnes, Gomis, Barrow and Dyer) were very good yesterday and again after the game that was borne out by views of home fans we chatted to after the game.
Mrs Miggins here. Yes I can make a pie but hubby can't stand my cooking ha ha. Thank you for the welcome. :-D Thought King was an improvement on Fulton.
