    Sunderland v Leeds Utd

    FA Cup. Third Round

    Sunday 1.00pm

Leeds travel to Sunderland on Sunday hoping to erase the pain of an FA Cup final defeat, nearly 42 years ago.

A single goal from Ian Porterfield was enough to separate the sides back in 1973 to cause one of the major shocks of the era.

Roles have now been reversed, Leeds are in the second tier of English football whilst Sunderland are enjoying their seventh season in the lucrative Premier league.

This will be the first time the two sides have met in the Cup since 1973, and as we all know strange things can happen in the FA Cup.

Leeds are currently undefeated in 2015 having not played yet <laugh> whilst THE Black Cats were narrowly beaten at the Etihad Stadium 3-2 on New Years day.

Leeds fans would love to see Redfearn experiment away from the dreaded one dimensional diamond formation and use some width. You never know he may just try it. He has nothing to lose.

Montenegro could play on one wing, with Byram or even Adryan on the other....

Redfearn also needs to decide whether to play Sharp or Doukara alongside Antenucci. (Personally, I'd prefer neither)

If we start with Taylor and Dario Del Fabro I truly hope we put on a good show and that they both shine. If we go with the same team (minus Warnock) that started against Derby then I fear a real hammering.

I'd like to see both Del Fabro and Taylor given a chance considering the age of Warnock and how the pace of the championship is catching up with him.

I'd also like to see Monty replace Mowatt so he can combine his winger skills with his attacking skills.

Put Berardi in at RB and utilise Byram in place of Cook to give him more opportunities of getting down the wing and hopefully getting some good crosses in.

Adryan to play a full 90 minutes as playmaker and keep Bianchi in for his abilities to break up the opposing team's attacking play.

Bellusci to stay in defence, we need a levelled headed player in defence with the new boys starting.

Hopefully Byram, Adryan and Monty can bring back and use the through balls for Antenucci and co to do what they do best.

It'd be risky starting either Sharp or Duke as both seem to be off their game, but I'd start with Duke because we'd have Byram and Monty in the mids.

But, Redders like his favourites and we may well end up with only 1 or 2 changes.
