McClaren won silverware with Boro. That tells you everything you need to know about him. Hes wasted in the Champ.

Bloke called Thomas Tuchel is gaining some speed in the "race".

FC Mainz manager who did practically exactly what Ashley wants us to do but in the Bundesliga. Sounds likely actually.

I've even heard that there's odds on Ashley being the next manager at 100/1

Unlikley, of course, but this just sums up this mess completely.

I'll look forward to his interview. We weren't "good enough" drawing with a spirited Burnley - today we didn't shoot against Leicester. What next vs Chelsea?! I think jacking it all in and becoming an amused bystander is the way to go. 'Cos it will be amusing!!

Only interesting moves in odds was Remi Garde coming in to 6's with Ladbrokes and Aitor Karanka joining the likes of Galtier and Tuchel on around 16's.

Carver's gradually moved out to 6/1, but one can only assume that's with the rational assumption from the bookies that anyone getting these kinds of performances, or making these kind of comments, could never on earth be a PL manager. Yet I fear you're right, and that's what will happen.

Carver got booed off some fans when he went to applaud them, so Ashley's bound to give him the job.

Did he swear back this time? Reports claim he was "visibly shocked" by the vitriol. I swear those employed by NUFC live in their own little world.

I don't know mate, I just heard what they said on Final Score. In my eyes, he can't shout and swear at Newcastle fans and expect them to forget in a short space of time? The bloke has shat in his own nest as far as I'm concerned. I want him nowhere near the managers job. <ok>

There were a fair few choruses of "we're **** and we're sick of it!" During the final twenty minutes or so. Not sure why he would be surprised?!

Was this the first time since fat sham that this chant has been aired?

He is! Jelle Vossen has been outstanding lately apparently. They had 32k there last week and took 7k to Blackburn, so he must be doing something right.

Well, this is interesting - Temuri Ketsbaia's wife has take it upon herself to flood the internet with rumour. She has pictures of herself with an NUFC tattoo on her neck, and other tidbits including a picture of Temuri with Shay Given and the caption "Old friends reunited", with some comment like "do you think they will figure it out in time". Also a picture of Temuri with Jose from the CL.

    Probably nothing, but....

If Carver ever gave a **** he would not throw his hat into the ring. It will be a nuclear meltdown of a disaster.

Out of the top ten favourites on oddschecker, there's only Carver I would be dead against. Not too keen on McCoist either. Any of the others I'd have no objection to.

    Have you heard the fcker?

    "I've done the job at....."

    wait for this, it's brilliant....

"........TORONTO FC, SO I KNOW WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS".

He said this without a hint of irony. Is he taking the fcking pi$$, he puts this job on a par with a part time team in Canada? If Ashley had any credibility whatsoever he'd bin his application shortly after blowing his nose with it.

He deserves it for that team selection. Mumbling on about the spirit of Sir Bobby and his own passion for NUFC, only to sell us all down the river at literally the first opportunity.
