After seeing the amount of effort the lads put in against Everton I'm sure Brucey will rest as many as possible.

    Jako
    Mcshane Lefty-Maguire Figgy AN other

    Elmo Hudd Quinn Ince

    Sagbo Aluko

Really down to the bare bones. Edit Changed Brady cant afford him to get injured

I'd agree with that team Chazz, although I think he'll play Brady for sure.

I don't expect a win or even a draw, though either would be a massive bonus. If they give it their best and take the fight to them, then that will do for me. <ok>

Bradford City already 1-0 @ Millwall and Blackburn 1-0 up @ Charlton.

Rotherham 1-0 up @ home to Bournmouth and Rochdale 1-0 up @ home to Notts Forest. 3 shocks brewing maybe ?

I don't think Rotherham beating Bournemouth is a shock so to speak, they're both in the same league, albeit at opposite ends and Bournemouth will be resting players in order to push on for promotion.

    Harper

    Chester Maguire McShane Figgy

    Aluko Huddlestone Quinn Ince

Sagbo Rossi (deserves a chance in a no pressure game, imo)

subs:- Jakupovic - Lenihan - Bruce jnr - plus 4 others.

Well if Rotherham do win it blows my weekend coupon. Certainly a shock imo.

Both teams could well exit the champtionship come May time but from different ends.

Am I alone in thinking this would be a good game for Hernández and Jelavic to start. Two inform strikers against a possibly depleted Arsenal side. Surely to give each of our strikers about an hours game time would not be too much to ask (all players say they'd rather play than train plus neither started against Leicester). Remember we didn't lose the Cup Final in 90 minutes and our last visit to The Emirates we drew so lets have a go. Obviously can't see anybody being risked if carrying an injury and rightly so but i'd like to see us go for it with the best forward line possible. Any thoughts ?

Half our second XI are currently our first XI already anyway. If you get my drift.

No we shouldn't. We shouldn't be so scared of going down that we don't even try in the cups.

I don't mind a bit of rotation and giving people a chance but hope it's not an entirely changed team. Huddlestone and Quinn will be fresh and that's a strong midfield.

We all know Arsenal will not be playing their strongest eleven for this game even though...

They will be live on bbc1
    They are the current holders
Winning the trophy last season is the sole reason their Manager is still in a job
They are playing another premier league team

The reason for the above.... It's not a priority for them because the cup means **** all anymore.

However the bbc commentators still come out with **** like.... "The cup still has magic.... ".

But that is simply not true. even championship teams now field their b teams for it.

I think Chester may play since he has the least minutes out of him, Davies and Bruce over the xmas period.

I'd expect Huddlestone and Quinn in the team too.

We definitely owe Arsenal one, I'd love it for us to have a right go at them, but we won't.

Bruce will wave the white flag and play Sagbo upfront upfront and save Jelavic and Hernandez for West Brom away, which makes sense.

I'd rather us beat West Brom, the league has to be the priority. The cup run was amazing last season, and we did get lucky with our easy run to the final, but in order to push on we need to stay in this league first and foremost, 2 wins in the last 3 games won't be enough to keep us up.

Granted the league is undoubtably the priority, but come on let's remember that cup final day, the pubs buzzing with black and amber, the walk down wembley way and even after loosing I remember feeling like we had won after such a great performance. Now who wouldn't want that again. Let's give it a go, the pressure is on Arsenal to perform not us!

Only plastics and premier league bandwagoners think the FA cup means **** all.

Oldest and most iconic football competition in the world.

Also funny how one minute, to some muppets, reaching the FA cup final is enough to give Bruce blind faith, and the next minute they don't give a **** about the FA cup. Make your mind up.
