Here are our stats for the year 2014. Awful Games: 47 Won: 12 Drawn: 10 Lost: 25 For: 50 Against: 77 53% loss percentage.
That's shocking and it says one thing, we're going . Not pretty reading at all. The players need to buck their ideas up and we need to get rid of this useless diamond.
I would bet in that period, we used over forty players, five managers maybe, every formation known to mankind but end result is the same. You cannot flog class players for a decade at the rate we did, give the proceeds to everyone except the manager to reinvest and expect the squad to be anything more than it has been. In my opinion, we have finally bottomed out. Our players are sub standard and have been since the departure of snoddy. Its been rapid downhill since that. Until we start signing players at least as good as Gradel, McCormack, Snoddy and Howson, we will continue to be ****ing useless and it wont matter who is the coach
I disagree, I think it's down to the piss poor standard of managers/coaches we've had, combined with the asset stripping of Bates and the implosion under Ridsdale. We haven't had a decent manager since George Graham. O'Leary I don't consider any good as he inherited a young talented squad at just the right time Reid was useless Venables was past it and money orientated Wise was just a frontman for Poyet Blackwell and McAllister weren't up to it Grayson flattered to deceive, never did sort the defence out, and let's face it any one of us could have got that squad promoted from League 1 Warnock past it, McDermott clueless, Hockaday disastrous, Milanic, guess we'll never know what he'd have been like, and Redfearn who looks out of his depth Plenty of coaches/managers over the years have got smaller clubs promoted on a shoestring with what on paper would appear to be inferior squads to the Leeds one's over the past twelve years. Even with the squad we currently have a decent coach would have had them at least halfway. Trouble is I don't think we will ever be blessed with a decent coach, not if the last three appointments are anything to go by.
Stats show, on a pro rata basis, Redders has a worst record to date than Hockaday as a full time coach, but has been in charge for 2 more games. Redders sits with a 25% win ratio, Hockaday had a 33.33% win ratio. Both have won 2 games as a full time coach. During Redders temp role he had a 75% win ratio however, over all the clubs he managed, his stats are well below par.
I have to applaud this post as it is one of the best posts i have read and had me in stitches and 100% correct whats your thoughts of mick mc carthy taking over if we ever get the chance ?
Great manager but not a chance in hell of him coming to Leeds. He's got an average squad heading for the Premier League at Ipswich. Plus he likes to choose his own players, so under our current regime where the players are supplied for him it's a no go. Hence the fact we go for coaches who work with the players Salerno provides, and not traditional managers
Wouldn't make any difference if he did come. Leeds is a poisoned chalice for managers. We would destroy the very best
