    ........ before the Liverpool game?

Following the wall to wall coverage of the news that an ageing football player is going to play for another team I think it may be expected. Heaven forbid that we fail to pay proper respect to a grasping millionaire in the eyes of the grieving football world.

The way this is being hyped up I believe some people may actually shed tears.

Absolute rubbish Smug. Don`t you remember when he joined Liverpool it was the "A dream come true for me" cliché?

Very sad. He must be distraught.

    Have some compassion man. <whistle>

I remember with some fondness the period where he held them to ransom for a pay rise with the threat of going to Chelski - such personal sacrifice :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Guess if it was a local sunderland lad who played all his career for the club and got 100+ caps you wouldn't give 2shits either

If the 'Sunderland' lad was a Newcastle supporter I wouldn't be too interested.

Gerrard was brought up as an Everton supporter.

He'll end up at Chelsea or Man U after signing for Denver *****ls like Lampard is at Man City this year. At least he might actually win a league title then.

Wait for all the "wonderful servant to the club" bullshit.

He`s been paid millions and would have gone to any club prepared to pay more. He`s no less mercenary than all the rest.

Fair play to Gerrard for being up front and not leading his club on over a new contract. <whistle>

I've already shed tears mate, I've been howling at these ****ers "Let's concentrate on what he did win, rather than what he didn't win"...

Brilliant player who let his heart rule his head and if it wasn't for bitter scousers sending him death threats he'd have joined Chelsea and won everything. That's his own fault.

He's played one season too many in the EPL, he's not got the class of Lampard to keep it up, he looks pathetic this season. Shame really.

    Hahahaha

United are more likely to rename our stadium "King Dalglish Stadium" than sign the Lacoste Rat.
