10,700 at yesterday's game with Plymouth Albion. A record for the rugby Championship. Promotion at end of season will guarantee at least four and possibly five full houses. Making sure the stadium is used to it's maximum and good revenue for both clubs from refreshments. And at the end of the match is was difficult to see that 30 big blokes had been on it all afternoon. In fact the worst patch visible with very careful examination from the Atyeo is the very centre of the football goalmouth. Some wear there is just visible. COYREDS AND BRIS!
I was sceptical about ground sharing at first with lines and wear and tear on the pitch. However it has been a success for both teams and gives a good reason to develop the ground for. Bristol sport has been good for Bristol bar the gasheads.
Am I correct that you are referring to Bris in the Rugby Prem? If so I agree with you. If/ when Bris go up, they will become a real force in the Prem.
Seems a meaningless season to me if a team can be champions twice and still not go up- Cant happen a 3rd time surely
Yep - yet again the acid test will be whether they can beat Worcester in the play-off's - given how close that game against them was at Ashton Gate, that's no certainty
