Wise up guys , We are swansea city and not chelsea or man city who also lose games. We are doing fantastic and better than we should be with a club our size. If you want better go and support a big team because as far as im concerned we are playing above our weight and doing a good job of it..9th in the league having been no lower than 8th all season is fantastic. you should have moaned last season where we were sliding like a stone and 2 points from relegation but to moan about being in 9th is unbelievable...
I was at every game last season witnessing the atmosphere and mass walk out, it was only when monk came in and changed things did it get back to normal,,,Fact
Are you still going on about when we were so rubbish that we were in four competitions and 12th in the league with ten players on the injury list and playing lovely football?
'Crap' we may have been in your opinion but it was far more entertaining 'crap' than the 'crap' I've been watching this season. We were still going well in four competitions until one player (still at the club) took stirring to a new level. Last Christmas / New Year we gained only 1 point from 4 games Villa 13th 0-0 draw, Everton 4th 1-2 loss, Chelsea 3rd 1-0 loss & Manu 8th 2-3 loss Combined opposition placing 28 (mean 7th) Our league place was 11th (4 below the mean) 3 of 4 teams below us at the times we played (Villa two places and 1 point below). Goals for 4 against 5 No game was lost by more than a single goal Our league place was 11th This year over the same period we gained 7 points Hull 15th 0-1 win, Villa 12th 1-0 win, Liverpool 9th & 4-1 QPR 16th 1-1 draw Combined opposition placing 42 (mean 13) Our league position is 9th (4 places above the mean) All teams below us at the times we played. Goals for 4 against 5 No game was won by more than single goal Aren't statistics useless
(In response to Dai's 'Blind are you?, of course it was true') I never witnessed fans leaving the stadium in droves half way through the second half. That is what you said. To me, 'in droves' means hundreds or thousands leaving. Half way through the second half means around the 65-70 minute mark. Maybe you're remembering someone next to you going off for a piss each week at that time.
but would you take 18th or 19th, I doubt it. I would much rather 3 points and fk the so called Swansea way aka the Liverpool way of the late 70s
you were never there then fact.dont say you were because you would be a liar..fact Its so obvious you were not there FACT dont go saying you were because those of us who were ardent fans will call you a liar...end of there is no debate about it that the way it is....not interested in playing games so my word is final You were not there ...end of....
Dai, you are the only one who is saying that fans walked out in their droves. So the question I ask is this, were you at the games?
Perhaps you could produce a post of my mine where I state I WAS there. It's becoming more and more evident that your mental state is deteriorating. Just because YOU say something does not,and never will, make it a FACT. Oh,and teams don't get relegated in January. When it comes to opinions pertaining to The Swans',it's oh so easy to dismiss yours as being irrelevant. Keep up the good work Dai,you are a constant source of humour in a sometimes drab world.
We have been guilty of letting our game slip over 90 the mins but on the whole this season we've been effective at winning points. This year imo, we have matured some what. This season we are not content anymore with patronising praise from MOTD pundits who tell us how pretty we were in defeat. This season we've learned that the most important thing in football in any country anywhere in the world is points and this season we have been effective in securing them. Points over glamour any day for me.
If points and position become more important than style we become Stoke and we have to be better than that or we will disappear into the meaningless background goal fodder for the top 6.
