Just seen Borini's miss on MOTD, its incredible how **** he really it. When he leaves will go down with N'gog, Pongelle as one of the worst strikers we've had in the PL era.

Didn't watch the game. See that from some comments we played slow and **** again (Gerrard in the team and Hendo at WB, surprise surprise). Can someone give me the low down? Maybe some ratings and how we set up? Cheers.

I predicted a draw, so I'm not surprised at the result at all after seeing Rodgers saying SG would come straight back into the team.

Really? i think we gave that a long, slobbering, tongues-in-the-gob goodbye snog about two months ago.

Seen that, of course it has nothing to do with his leaving at the end of the season right? <laugh>

It was pathetic again, just like the Burnley game.

    ------------------------Crapallday
    -----------Toure---------Can-----------Sahko
    Henderson----Gerrard----Lucas---------Moreno
    ---------Lallana-------------------Coutinho
    -----------------------Sterling

So essentially we brought Gerrard in for Manquillo, moved Henderson to RWB to make him useless and a Gerrard Lucas combo making our midfield terrible again.

We had 3 penalties and I sh!t you not, it was the only thing Gerrard did all game. However, they weren't even penalties.
Leicester should feel robbed of 3 points tbh.

Set up like the Burnley game and we played like the Burnley game. Sadly making the Swansea game an anomaly and we wont perform that well for sometime again.

I would like to add that Lallana was anonymous again. Coutinho was the bright spark of the attack.

The defence was actually good. Let down by poor protection from the central midfield.

My worry is that Rodgers will assume the defenders were at fault for the goals so he'll bring Lovren and Skrtel back in.

Agreed, Lallana got all the plaudits against Swansea for scoring twice and disappearing for the rest of the game, such a waste of money.

    What we needed was

    ------------------------Crapallday
    -----------Manquillo-----Skrtel-----------Sahko
    Can----Henderson----Lucas---------Moreno
    ---------Lallana-----------------Coutinho
    ---------------------Sterling

I think in that set up Lucas would have been in a position to help on both of their goals and henderson gets forward more. Yesterday Gerrard was deep and defending more than Lucas. Should be the opposite.

Can is there to cover and provide a linkup for henderson to then get down on the right or through hte middleto link up with Lallana and Sterling.
At times there was too big a gap between Gerrard Lucas and Lallana Cout and Sterling, one Henderson could easily have filled, he's got a great engine and obviously his presence alongside Lucas adds much needed energy, I think both their goals would have been prevented

    Thanks for that :)

Pretty much what I expected before the game. It's amazing how BR and the Media can't seem to pick up on how weak our team becomes when people are shuffled out of the way to make room for Gerrard.

Feel sorry for Borini - think he's been treated harshly and coming back into the team was going to be difficult.

The positive is that he gets into the right positions.

Hopefully we do sell him in January to fund a quality player.

In reality.....yes probably did but two back to back wins and a home game to bottom of the table Leicester gave false hope. Sadly I did predict a draw....shows how much faith I had in the team when I saw the team sheet.

As much as I criticise Lallana, he can be a very good squad player to rotate with the likes of Sterling, Coutinho.

It is a shame we spent that much money on him when we could have signed someone who could spearhead our attack.

What I also like about this is when Lallana and henderson cause problems going forward Can can slide over and slot in along side Lucas to give us some protection and then go back to providinga bit of width when we want to move it out of defence. He could even come up through the middle if Lallana and Henderson are maing runs down that side making space

We could look like this when attacking on the counter
    ------------------------Crapallday

    -------Manquillo-----Skrtel-------Sahko
    --------------------Lucas---------
    ---Henderson----Can----Coutinho---Moreno
    ------------Lallana-------Sterling
