No luck involved in this Spurs win, they smacked us fair and square. Jose was our worst player today, he got it about as wrong as Ive ever seen him and kept getting it more wrong all game. We really do fall right off when the subs like Salah and Ramires are used. To be fair, we have had a very tough week and it showed, but Jose should have been on top of that. Fabregas, Terry and Cahill were out sped, out played and out on their feet.
On the bright side, we cant play that badly again can we?

Man City slipped up against Burnley at home - they are very erratic. The big worry for me is as per last season in being so near and yet so far from winning the League Cup, Premiership, and European Cup. A possible League Cup final against Spurs beckons and at least we now know Spurs' dangermen and can mark them out of the game in any final. Harry Kane looks to be becoming world class and he certainly hit top form today.....unfortunately for us.

Pretty much every single slight weakness that has been briefly exposed in previous games exploded all over WHL today. Could hardly have been worse.

Think you are right there - surprising limp-wristed display esp for a London derby. Well deserved win for Tottenham (I feel dirty), City are in the driving seat and it will take some to shift them especially on this evidence.

Tbh I couldn't give a monkeys about the league cup strictly for desperadoes who can't win anything else; FA cup is the only acceptable consolation prize imo.

  10. I kinda agree with you, but we may be desperate enough to need to win it, this season!

  12. I tell you what, it'd be a fantastically tense final if the League Cup is all that either of our side ends up playing for!

I must admit, I do love a Chelsea v Spurs final, at the best of times.

A Chelsea v Spurs League Cup final should be a different story. Harry Kane and Co will be man marked out of the game. Jose Mourinho wont be mugged twice. ;) In the meantime, we've got to beat the Scousers over 2 legs and get a result aginst Man City just after at The Bridge. That'll be 3 massive games in less than 2 weeks.

i am still one of the few who see it as the league cup and worth winning, i mean other than the fa cup that is it for an awful lot of football teams, very wrong to belittle it !! and i remember you turning us over in the final a few years back

That Man City game will be awesome. I'm not now sure what kind of a reception Super Frank will get if he plays at The Bridge.....let alone if he scores. He was supposed to be playing for New York City not Manchester City.

Ah Bless you are trying to be as funny as ticket boy. You know our ground only holds 18K and it was down as a sell out so stop trying to divert attention from your thumping at 'No point lane'. I see the 'stupid one' is gracious in defeat as usual?

What a story that could be on the cards this season!

Frank Lampard, Mr Chelsea himself could prove the difference in the title race. So far he has won City plenty of important points with his goals, and he scored the winner for them today.

You can't help but think Mourinho is regretting not extending his contract

Not at all Elsie I'm way funnier, your website says the max attendance is 18,489 so not quite there today but encouraging going forward. :D
