Rather Strootman ( in summer ) and Nani back tbh. Nani has been the best player in Portugal by miles. Why would we give him and money when they should be giving us Carvalho and £14million?
There are literally no semi-believable rumours about us buying anyone This is a bit random but I would love us to buy Coentrao if he's available.
Our full-backs usually are required to get forward tbf. Evra was the same. I don't see that as a challenge for him. I am concerned about his positional play defensively more than anything.
Yeh I agree I think that will come. Also with a proper winger like Young or Di Maria in front of him it will help, he didn't have that today. I suppose that's the difference between playing as a WB and a LB. It's too much too soon. With a winger in front, he can learn to play on the overlap. What I do like is that he's able to feign going down the line but then cuts in and opens up space inside. But at that point he seems to lack ideas.
Maybe that's a lack of confidence in him doing anything purposeful with the ball. As treble points out, he seems to run out of ideas.
We should sign Gerrard on a free. He can warm the keepers up before each match and spend the rest of his time polishing the PL trophies.
