Why do people make those YouTube bids with welcome to whoever in them before the player signs? He doesn't play for city atm, and the bloke making it clearly has no idea, it just looks ridiculous.
Simple really. A replacement for Ben Arfa and another striker. It would be nice to get our injured back as well. Other than that Lady Luck could show us some favour in the 2nd half of the season. Can still see us in a 10th -15th place finish.
DUO KEEPING TABS ON ARMERO Hull City and Sunderland have reportedly made enquiries over former West Ham defender Pablo Armero, according to the Hull Daily Mail. Armero – who made just five appearances for the Hammers last season – is currently on loan at AC Milan from Udinese in Serie A, but the Colombia international is stirring the interest of the two Premier League clubs. (From Sky Sports' Transfer Feed). Guessing a few people would be in for him, but imagine a squad with Aluko, Brady, Ince, Robertson AND my next tip for who we should be looking at... Nathan Redmond in it. That'd be rapid!
With Robertson and Rosenior going off injured today we might need someone to fill in there depending on how long they will be out.
100,000 a week and probably at least 8 million to purchase. He is so expensive that our media here is now saying that QPR wont be able to afford him.
No chance of getting Defoe, and on todays performance, no need for him. If we can sell Sagbo and at least get our money back on him, then hopefully we can bring in a better striker to complete for places and cover injuries. But for me, even when we have a full, fit squad, we need 1 or 2 creative players, 1 winger & a central player. Januzai? has been mentioned but would never come to us as bigger clubs would be after him, Salah would be a GREAT choice and im sure he'd come to us with the egyptian connection, only on loan obviously.
Wouldn't it be great having 3 quality strikers though? At present we only have 3 (Sorry Sone - but you are not a striker) it looks like Sagbo may be on his way?
He's a funny one Sone, he's more an attacking midfielder I would say. But he's not capable of putting in the sort of performance we saw from Hernandez and Jelavić. Which is what I would consider as traditional strikers. Sone would sit behind the striker(s).
I believe Aluko played mostly on the wing before arriving here, which I'd say is probably his best position at this level.
wonder how much Burnley want for Ings, and whether a swap including PMC and maybe 1 other may interest them
Just had a quick look and Moses Simon, our friend from Trencin, now has 13 goals this season. Which is pretty decent for a winger. Gotta be worth a punt if the price is right.
What about Anthony Andreu, Hamilton Accies' attacking midfielder. He's got 10 goals in 16 this season. He also writes poetry and plays the ukelele. Sell him Hull's 2017 City of Culture status and that might clinch it. Could probably do with a left back in view of today's injuries. Salah on loan too as others have said.
In fact, here's the mandatory youtube video, don't think we've had one yet. I know it's a lower standard of league, but that goal he scored at 3.39 was really good.
James McCarthy from Everton? Wasn't in their squad today and hasn't been offered a new contract there... Also, just noticed this on the Daily Mail (national) website about Salah... "Inter want a loan with view to a £12m deal for the Egyptian." Guessing he's out of our range then!
