Yeah but all of us that had seen him play for the reserves said that before he got put in nets, so we can't exactly pretend to be shocked now. He's a bad goalie, he won't make a prolonged living out of the game unless we keep him as the back-up's back-up.

Fair point was a good watch, and would be happy with first half performance-ish for 90 mins and still ending up scraping 50 points..Its just the same problems we have had for 3 seasons now and nowt is done about it ..that's whats depressing.

    From BBC Sport (twitter)
Richard Parfitt: Newcastle fans booing one of the games of the season. What a negative club.

    ^^^
This is the impression I'm worried we create at times because we're so frustrated. Whatever you say, when we came back up we had realistic expectations, but we're back where we were a few years ago now. We look around, see 50,000 bums on seats, and think we're something special. Our SUPPORT NUMBERS IS special (though the actual vocal ability of that group is poor, and it's usually just negatively expressed anyway). I'm afraid it's the 11 on the pitch that matter guys, and they aren't world beaters.

That season where we finished 5th has just brought back the delusions. We need to either get behind players and accept our fate as mid-table guff, or not go to games, because today was a good game of football, a draw a fair result, and anybody booing that because we expect to beat little Burnley has disgraced themselves in my opinion.

Who cares what he thinks mate. I think the booing came from the fact that the second half had a vile stench of an old colostomy bag about it. In any case all fans boo, they all do it, its just the fact that the media seem to single us out for some reason and make out we are the only fans in the league that do it! Everton, Arsenal, Villa, etc have all done in abundance this season but they never seem to talk about it.

Burnley will feel disappointed they didn't come away with the three points today. They were definitely the best team.

    Very well put.

In my opinion, Carver lost that game for us. His substitutions were just awful, badly timed. I'd have sooner brought Haidara on for Saylor, moved Dummett - who was stinking at left back - into the middle and kept the likes of Cabella for later in the game. No disrespect to Burnley, massive credit to Dyche as well, but it was ours to be won, in complete control first half.

As per the other thread, if this guy gets the job we're in a stinkload of trouble.

Hahaha that's true, but I don't think many of their fans have booed after a 3-3! You could maybe understand it if it was 3-0 at half time, like a West Brom game a few seasons back, but this was a good game of footy, and Burnley fully deserved a point. Disappointed, fair enough, but I think it comes across a bit odd hearing boos from today's game.

I agree, we may get big crowds but we're poorly supported.

Def mate. Those subs killed it. I know Riv didn't score but I didn't think he was too bad, Armstrong came on and didn't really do that much. Dummett to CB, Haidera to left back and no cart horse. Carver seemed to **** himself mid match and then proceed to have further arse attacks later on.

According to that old pissflap Lawro we'll be delighted with that 3-3, and hope Carver is appointed so we can get that every week.

Sometimes I have to restrain myself from biting a chunk out of my arm in frustration at all this bollocks

I was never a fan of Carver - don't know how he still has a job at the club - maybe doing it for peanuts

Other options for goalkeeper: Woodman or Beardsley ..... can't be any worse than Alnwick.

The next time someone tries to tell me Haidara is a great prospect, I shall be forced to take a hit out on them for sheer stupidity. The stupid ****er can't control the football half the time! He hasn't a clue where he is meant to positionally. When Saylor went off we were all over the shop. Tiote brilliant first half, garbage 2nd.

Colback thought he'd done enough once he scored. Gouf poor. Riviere - good channel running but as far as scoring goals...don't hold your breath. Colo - he is on drugs or something. ****e again. Organisation wise, he is embarrassing. Playing with it at all the wrong times.

Willo - must be replaced. Dummett ok but what the **** on the first? Janmaat great going forward but defensively poor. What were him and Colo thinking on Ings goal? Saylor takes plenty stick, but he is out performing every defender we have when he is on the pitch. Alnwick - not good enough, he should be stopping Boyds.

I maintain we are a poorish bottom half side. Particularly once you take a few first team players out.

Overall terrible performance. Pleased to get anything.

    Alnwick 5, Janmaat 5, Colo 4, Saylor 7, Dummett 5, Tiote 5, Colback 6, Sissoko 6, Riviere 5, Gouf 5, Perez 7
    Subs Haidara 4, Armstrong 5, Willo 4

At least the mackems got beat again. Losers. <laugh>

Oh and we are poorly "supported" and Pardew would have won that game by making better subs :D

Dummett to centre half but the sooner Santon is fit the better (did I really just say that?) Haidara is a pile of average ****. He is like that feeble **** after a heavy night out, when you have been knocked back by the missus for being too pissed, so you decide to crack one out in horrific state. Don't anyone try to tell me he is better than Dummett. The **** can't even do the basics. Its embarrassing to watch. Every single game he plays the ball disappears under his foot. If that is what our fans are classing as good enough, we have truly been dumbed to **** by Ashley. Alnwick? Sorry just ****ing no, the lad is not and never will be a PL goalkeeper. Not his fault but don't give him a contract. I will now refer to him as the sieve.

I agree though, Riviere is ****e but he was ok today. If Sissoko had bothered his arse first half and done his job arriving late into the box then Riviere's channel running would have brought a load of chances. He tried his best. He couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo is his problem. As you say Armstrong did **** all. He is young of course.

Just get rid of cart horse Willo. Obviously Colo had another horror show which didn't help him but still. The Ings goal is as bad as it gets. Willo will be blamed by the uneducated. However Janmaat and Colo were 100% the problem. I have never seen such a pathetic lack of effort to close space.

Seriously our fans need a shake. What were the morons booing exactly? It was a good game of football. We're a bottom half side punching above our weight. There are some deluded ****ers. It was a good game of football.

Let's throw in a special mention for Cheick Tiote who by all account won't be a Newcastle player by the time we visit Leicester, I've never seen anyone look more disinterested in playing for the club. We still need a player like him, a destroyer, given our defense is an utter shambles, but we would benefit from having someone interested in being here.

I can see a story unfolding here of Ashley pocketing cash from Tiote, Sissoko and Cisse in January, insisting that Abeid and Obertan are good enough, giving a 4 month deal to Shola, sticking Carver in for half a season, limping to a 16th place finish then selling the club in the Summer.

I agree with all of that with the exception of selling the club.
