Agreed unfortunately some people can't wait to make him the boo boy. He was good today breaking things up well some just don't see or appreciate it. Also thought Ramirez was Having a good game until his injury. Hernandez Jelavic Meyler
Hernandez Jelavic Meyler Ordinarily, Davies would have also got on there. But so many people were class today, he just misses out.
Refreshing to have a game where it's tough to pick and not because they were all dreadful. I'd go: Hernandez Meyler Davies Very harsh on Jela and Elmo, in particular, but think those three were our spine today and just deserve it.
Hernandez Meyler - actually added bite and muscle in the middle Jelavic Special mentions for Ramirez (who gave the MF some direction) and Elmo...darn it... all of the team. They were superb!
Seconded Lincs. All the team were fantastic today. Some of Bruce's challenges were great. Davies back to the player we know. Chezz was brilliant. Elmo was etc etc Robbo Rosy Jake Meyler Ramirez Jelavic Hernandez. Brady was ace too. Harrys a beast. For sheer will to win, energy and endeavour Meyler Elmo Livermore Could be any order really
1. Hernandez - Never stopped running, showed that he CAN be an able replacement for Long, great assist, unlucky not to get one himself but it's coming! 2. Jelavic - Never avoids a challenge, chases every lost cause, presses high up the pitch, Everton must be sorry... 3. The Midfield - For me it would be unjust to single out anyone in this area, they all played their part in a superb attacking performance and defended for their lives when needed, so I'd rather go for them all Mention is despatches for a superb cameo from Harry McGuire, he really did look the part today, like he could prove to be the real deal.
Hernandez, really impressive today. Jelavic, never stops trying. Elmo No weak links anywhere today, thought Maguire looked composed and tidy in his play when he came on.
Hernandez Jelavic Livermore Everyone else played really well, no poor performances from anyone. I notice that a lot of people are going for Meyler and he did have a much better game than of late, especially going forward but there were several ocassions where I saw Livermore hustling past him from a further advanced position during an Everton break, as Meyler was jogging back. I'm not saying Meyler didn't have a decent game, he did but Livermore's contribution in consistently busting a gut to get forwards and back was even more impressive for me.
Great game - difficult choice and could make a case for all the players including the subs. 1. Abel 2. Livermore 3. Gaston - looked much better at LW than making the poor guy play as a striker on last man. Bruce Sr deserved credit - putting Barry at CB, Everton clearly wanted him to dictate play - chasing them down in packs really worked and didn't let them settle. Definitely won the tactics battle.
1. Hernandez 2. Jelavic 3. Bruce Meyler, Chez and Curtis also deserve a special mention, in fact all the lads do. Great performance.
Very tough one today - but here are mine Bruce Jnr. - Didn't put a foot wrong, tackles were exemplary, passing was outstanding, had Barkley, Kone AND Lukaku in his back pocket and alongside Chezzy and Curtis - made a decent Everton team look bang average. Hernandez - What a performance Livermore - May not have been the skipper, but at certain points during the 2nd half you could see him calm every one down. Brilliant stuff. Finally, honourable mentions to everyone on that pitch in a Hull City shirt today. Pride, passion and desire all shown in abundance. The best City display I've seen at the KC since Fulham last year. Well done boys, thoroughly deserved.
I sit in Row V, N4. All around me were slating Meyler all game! I thought I must have been watching a different match?!
