Hernandez - THERE'S the £10m player we wanted!
    Jelavic
    Meyler

Meyler has had some dire games lately but he was at his Duracell bunny best today, and he used the ball better. I had him above Jelavic until the 91st minute break, when he stupidly kept and then lost the ball instead of passing to Jela.

All the defenders did well, but a word of praise in particular for Bruce Jr. Very solid today. And well done to Davies when forced to go to LB.

Hernandez - excellent movement and positioning
Jelavic - workrate and very nice goal
    Chester - some excellent defending

Could have picked from many for the 3rd one - all centres backs very impressive, Meyler impressed me, McGregor made one particularly vital save, Brady put in some really nice balls

I did think Elmo's end product was sometimes disappointing today.

    Hernandez
    McGregor

Im putting McGregor in the top 3 just bc of that one save he made and getting the clean sheet.

    Christ, this is a toughie.

    Abel
    Jela
    Meyler

I could've picked anyone else who played today for 3rd place. All of them played brilliantly.

Abel deserved a goal so much, and he really should've got one. Keep playing like that lad and you'll get a few.

But superb performances all round. Rosenior before injury, Brady, Livermore, Elmo all the central defenders even when played out of position. Fabulous attacking, committed football.

Meyler....added some real bite to MF.
Hernandez....breakthrough performance...combined well with Jelly and looked like he was really into it today
    Jelavic....always a threat...what a workhorse he is.

Honorable mention to the whole back five. Everton never looked like scoring.

A superb perperformance and win, Bruce today got his team selection spot on. Jelavic and Hernandez were excellent!

Thought Ramirez was great in the first half too, assume he was taken off because of injury or was it Bruce wanting to switch to 4-4-2?

Either way all subs came on and did a job also, great team performance.

They were all excellent today. What happens when you put strikers on the pitch and put round pegs in round holes. Great stuff.

Really difficult choice for all the very best reasons. Everyone who got on today must be in contention - special praise for Ramirez though, he had a great first half.

Davies didn't go to left back, Maguire came in as right side centre back, Chester went across to right wing back, Brady dropped back to left wing back and Elmo stepped inside to holding midfield.

Seemed a strange choice, I don't see why he didn't just push Chester forward into holding midfield, would have seemed more natural.

    Tough choice today:
Hernandez - seems to generate excitement every time he's on the ball
Jelavic - works his socks off and took his goal well. Looked completely ****ed at the end of the game.
Bruce - solid in defence and made some great tackles, really put a shift in

Honourable mentions - the entire team. Played as a unit and got exactly what they deserved,
