just came across an interesting thread on the mackem board, here are the odds for the next manager to be sacked -

    ■Steve Kean – 7/2
    ■Neil Warnock – 6/4
    ■Harry Redknapp – 10/1
    ■Steve Bruce – 10/1
    ■Mick McCarthy – 12/1
    ■Alan Pardew – 14/1
    ■Roberto Mancini – 16/1
    ■Alex McLeish – 16/1
    ■David Moyes – 16/1
    ■Arsene Wenger – 16/1
    ■Sir Alex Ferguson – 20/1
    ■Brendan Rodgers -20/1
    ■Tony Pulis – 20/1
    ■Paul Lambert – 20/1
    ■Roberto Martinez – 25/1
    ■Owen Coyle – 25/1
    ■Martin Jol – 25/1
    ■Roy Hodgson – 25/1
    ■Andre Villas-Boas – 33/1
    ■Kenny Dalglish – 50/1

Who do you think will be the first to be sacked, my personal opinion would be Warnock. i think Q.P.R will give him 5 games and then if he hasnt done well then they will get in a top Euro manager.
Next to him i'd put Moyes to leave his post first, i think he has got Everton as high as he can and wont stay around everton for long.

    What do you think

    First manager to be sacked:
    First manager to leave post:

    Cheers

Thats probably the worst odds we've had for a while now (or the best looking at it from our point of view)

Fergie 20/1? Are you sure those aren't the odds to leave their post, cos there is no chance he's getting sacked.

First manager to be sacked: Neil Warnock
First manager to leave post: ?

First fired: Kean -- they won't sign anyone of quality this summer, and will lose the little quality they have...I see them struggling this year, and their owners will race to make supporters forget they kept that useless tosser at the helm
First to walk: Harry...he'll try and save face when his best players force their way out, and they don't bring in the quality replacements he's spoken in the media about them deserving/needing

I'd really really love it if KD and old red nose got the bullet.

I think Villas Boas may well be sacked, but there's no way he'll be first out the door. He'll probably get the whole season whereas someone like Kean or McLeish wont last much longer than January IMO.

Then they are mental. I know he's spent a bit, but I would happily bet my left nut that he will never get sacked from Man U - and if in a parallel universe he were to get sacked, it would certainly not be as the first manager of the season. They must be bloody nuts

your forgetting its the begining of the season, anything could happen, man u could get taken over next week, fall out with fergie and fire him, they have to take into account all possibilities, saying that its never gonna happen so yeah it is mental

Agreed, after all of his hype, and the price of getting him from Portugal, he'll be given a real opportunity to succeed there (at least more of one that the last few managers have), and definitely won't be the first to go, maybe not even the first quarter or third. But I do think 33/1 is a fun coincidence

    Put it all on Brewce!!!

Joking aside, 50-1 on Kenny to go next must be worth a tenner of anyone's money!

    and Kenny Dalglish

    are all safer than Fergie?

odds dont work like that, they work on what they think people will put money on and set the price accordingly. so they can make lots of money who think, ooo thats worth a tenner but really they have no chance
