Ideally we really should have won this one but given the conditions it's not too bad a result. ****ty windy conditions were never going to make this a suitable place to play decent football.
Listen ffs, that's a good point achieved against a tough away game fixture. 1 point is better than most of our top 4 competitors will get. Arsenal and Liverpool for starters. Rivals will ignore our injuries and I think ppl underestimating us is actually doing us a favour. Not sure I'm convinced with LVG's starting line ups. I know Rafael is short and that was a concern against the Stoke players but keeping the same CB pairing was far more important. AND Rafael holds on to the ball and offers so much going forward. Also it's patently obvious Herrera HAS to start games. All in all I was more disappointed with the Spurs result than today. Our away form has to improve though.
I hate to be a Stoke fan and have to watch the **** football they play, long ball after long ball they play worse football now then under Pules.
TBF they've played better than that but it was obvious Hughes knew our defence looks vulnerable and his tactic was to put pressure on our back 4 as quickly as possible and try to batter us into submission hoping we'd panic enough to create chances. It was shockingly bad football from them today though
Mark Hughes - great player and servant to the club. Complete prick of a manager. Always crying after his teams play us. Get a grip and grow some balls like you used to have when you played the game.
We are still missing players. I can't wait for di Maria and blind to come back. We have not been firing on all cylinders but we have not been defeated. We win our home matches will be key for a top 4 place. We have a run of home games coming up so fingers crossed. Away from home winning the odd game should help.
Southampton at home next in the prem. Really hope Di Maria is back for that. Young is also out and he's been excellent the role he's had to play.
Who do you see stepping down for Blnd? Don`t get me wrong here, the guy has been good when played but Carrick has more control of the game than him.
