We will be doing well to get anywhere near this again this year, but anything is possible in football.

<laugh> But we've never had safety like that, too special to restrict to one game. Me and you kept the faith, though I was flagging more than you I have to say.

    1. Johnson's last-minute winner against the Mags, and the crestfallen look on Stabback's face.
    2. Winning the penalty shootout at Old Trafford. How I kept silent, sat among the United fans, still baffles me to this day.
    3. The 4-0 win against Cardiff, days after beating Chelsea. That was when I knew we were staying up.

There were many other choices as well, 2015 will have to go some way to top that lot!

Thanks for that one, Smug. I haven't seen it for years. This was a club that had seen the great Ivor Broadis play for them, and they were minutes from being booted out of the league. Heartbreaking to see. I've seen some marvelous Cup Finals - Milburn's second goal in '51, Mortensen's equalizing free kick - an absolute stunner - in '53, and so on. And then there were the shockers - Sunderland in '73, Wimbledon in '78. And some marvelous World Cups - who can ever forget the phenomenal Maradona in '86? But Jimmy Glass lives alongside all of those. One of football's truly great moments. Never, ever to be forgotten. Thanks again, mate.

Being ahead at a game at Wembley (watched on TV)
The semi final at Old Trafford (I was there)
The 2-2 draw at Man City. Gave us confidence for the final run in.

There are so many highlights but here are my three and my top one will surprise all:

    1. Arsenal v Sunderland at the Emirates in February. We were hammered 4 -1 but its the game where i met up with 2 of my ex-army buddies who i hadn't seen since 1989. Wonderful day, banter was amazing. the drink flowed and the away crowd of approx 2000 completely out sung the Library that is the Emirates Stadium (and i was apart of that)
    2. Semi final against Man Utd - watched it all unfold on TV, gripping, nerve wrecking with hysteria to follow.
    3. Beating NUFC in their own back yard (again)

When people are saying 'beating the mags', is that the 0-3 or the 0-1???
