Gerrard should come onto the pitch on his own, like a wrestler's entrance, to Iggy Pop's song Passenger I am a passenger And I ride and I ride
My guess would be Manquillo dropped with Henderson moved to RWB or Lucas dropped for Gerrard. Skrtel is obviously out so it's also a case of Toure or Lovren at CB with Can continuing at RCB.
Called it Mig Can Toure Sakho Henderson Gerrard Lucas Moreno Coutinho Lallana Sterling No Balotelli in the squad... Ojo is on the bench though.

So Gerrard comes back in. So now our central midfield will be slow and immobile, we nullify Henderson by sticking him out on the RWB, and a talented 20 year old who has no put a foot wrong is dropped again. The dynamics of the team changes whenever we try to accommodate Gerrard. There is no logic - Rodgers wants to talk about rotation and managing players. Why not drop Lucas instead because he's struggling fitness wise and keep Hendo in the middle alongside Gerrard? I don't agree with it but I can see the logic at least. Still think we'll win but I think it will be closer now.
It's Rodgers's fault. Always has been. Unless Gerrard is injured or suspended, we will continue to see him starting games.
Lucas is struggling how? Him and Henderson were very good together against Swansea. Lucas only struggles when played with Gerrard because they both want to play in the same position.
On the bright side, I'd rather Gerrard play against the likes of Leicester (no offence intended) than Swansea
C Couldnt agree more, Personally i didnt want to see changes to that midfield, but it is alot of gamers in a short space of time. Gutted not to see Suso on the bench (im a hopeful fool) but always time with the FA cup game on monday. Hope the boys can make it 9 out of 9 for xmas. Come on the Pool. YNWA
