Thats probably the best move that Uncle Baz has made yet, although the cynic in me says he is going for the female vote;)

    Nice one Baz well done!

Poor bloke can't get it right even when he gets it right - assuming this is fresh money of his own - good on him

In other good news (that doesn't deserve it's own thread), at least we're not Leicester City. They're changing the name of the stadium here from the crisp bowl to the King Power stadium... and the fans are absolutely fine with it. Makes you think how nice it is to still have an identity.

Can someone please calrify the sum he is putting in? Expressions like "some money" are all very easy.

I pledged money to help this weeks ago, but no-one has had the good grace to come back to me.

Fair point about identity but naming rights bring in decent money I would happily sit at the Pedigree Chum stadium if it gave us the funds to build a promotion team. Mind you anyone taking sponsorship on the vic could argue for a 25% discount.

Haven't seen any mention of how much anywhere. The FA funding was 'only' £50K, so I'm assuming it's less than that.

When Total sponsored us, would have been happy for them to pay for naming rights too... The Total Football Stadium :)

Now that article is interesting. The respectable knee surgeon will not have a place on the board, but then this:

"I won't be adding Panos to the board, but he may have a part to play as other projects connected with the stadium are progressed. I've taken back the control of the shares of Watford FC Limited as a result of that.

I clearly remember him saying that the others to be appointed were so that he would maintain a voting majority. Does he now think he is on such good terms with the existing members that they will go along with him, or he will go along with them?

More and more of a mystery man, but then maybe there is someone else in the background.

So WFCL is a board of one then? and he's added himself to WFC board? This all does make sense, the counciller says to me that he had ideas of moving which he now realises is not what we need in the near term, the BD guy was a joke, he was never going to be able to bring in the right commercial deals in football with no background, Panos is I'm sure part of the bigger picture for the stadium alternate uses and links in with health campus etc. Now if he is getting on well with GT, David and Stuart then ewe are on a very positive track, keep the ears open Laurence and the tongue in check and all will be fine!!!
