I ****ing hate power ballads, and your list would likely send me on a bloody killing spree, but i will offer True colours by Cindy Lauper. I quite like that one, i don't know why...
Did I see ' I just died in your arms tonight' by the The Cutting Crew on that list? I better have. Drummer was from Hull, his old man was Eddie Beadle who had he wrought iron place near north bridge. FACT of the day.
Nope, just checked and there's no sign of it. Shoddy at best and treasonous at worst. Shame on you Bummers.
It means a lot Carmine, more than you'll ever know. Back to the list and I'm perplexed by what some of you consider a power ballad. The Righteous Brothers?! Non, je ne regrette rien? Dusty Springfield? November Rain is more more in the right ballpark and it might go on, as of course will Cutting Crew. And I've actually changed my mind after listening to the playlist this aft - **** irony - some of these songs are amazing.
The Best - Tina Turner We built this city - Starship Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now - Starship China in your hand - T'Pau Eternal Flame - Bangles Eye of the Tiger - Survivor Final Countdown - Europe Do these fit the bill?
Alive and kicking - Simple Minds Carrie - Europe Don't you forget about me - Simple Minds More than words - Extreme Rosanna - Toto To be with you - Mr Big MEATLOAF - Dozens to choose from
Hell yeah! They're all ballads, and they're all extremely powerful, especially je ne regrette ... maybe you might prefer Barely Chassis' English cover, I Who Have Nothing. I guess you may be a little too young to fully appreciate some of them. They'll all still be remembered when today's ****e has been long forgotten.
