Not strumming on a ****ters bass it's not. Bass guitars should be all black a la JJ Burnel. Now he epitomises coolness.
I mostly play with a plectrum, just like JJ, he mostly plays black basses but he has green and sunburst too, green is terrible, I prefer navy blue or sunburst normally but the red looks beautiful, like Angus Young's Gibson SG. In other words, not Gay.
