That guy is a massive troll. Ignore him.

We played well today. Dug in and battled for those 3 points. Much better performance than the meek surrenders at Stoke City and Swansea.

Quality win from us against a tough team away after a couple of days of playing another game. We showed good character to get the win. <ok>

bit nervy at the end, i still don't understand why AW doesn't take off Welbeck and put Walcott on towards the end and play him up front with Sanchez, as the break away threat would scare the **** out of most teams ! good 3 points

Agree with most of that, only saw the second half but we really should of made that more comfortable with the situations we had in the second half, need to be more clinical, but a very good result from a tricky fixture considering the effort put in against QPR.

Was driving back from London so only heard the updates on the radio (poxy 5 live decided to have the City v Burnley game, although it was a cracker)

****ing massive result today, especially on the back of 3 pts on Boxing day. As mentioned above Soton will be missing Schneiderlin and he will be a big miss for them. If we can win there it will be a brilliant 9 from 9 in the space of a week and will put us right up there in the mix for the top 4.

Just seen the game on match choice (SKY Sports), couple of observation, we started slowly as we usually do away from home. Once we got the goals, we looked a completely different team. Sanchez is a beast, hopefully Wenger can now see what spending money gives your team. That guy is like a soldier, he chases, harries, never gives up, a winner, he inspires.... He is the kind of player we have been crying for a while now. The game was a cracking game, shame there had to be a loser. Hopefully we can kick on from here and see where are at in May.

    Just seen the highlights.

Nice lively performance, especially from Santi, Sanchez, Ox and Welbeck. We could have scored 3 or 4. But credit to the defence and the team as a whole, a really well earned win away from home at West Ham. Also don't forget that the Hammers have already beaten Man City and Liverpool at home this season.

Big Sam has West Ham playing good footie at the moment. Coupled with good results of late made this a very tricky fixture and one I feared we would drop points. A scrappy finish to what was a very good performance by us and 3 points in the bag when the teams above us all dropped 2.

the onyl reason you got anything out of it was becasue the Ref did what they usually do when we play one of the 'big four' disallow goals, refuse blatant penalties and do their best to make sure you win. ****ing joke of an official.

    Cobblers.

The pen was blatant, he had his leg up in the air and caught Santi as he was going through.

Also if it wasn't for Adrian, you could have been on the end of a 3 or 4 goal tonking.

It was close in the end, but don't make **** up about poor refereeing because that wasn't the case.

Did not know we have an impressive record against the hammers... Which would imply over the years, we would have beaten you lot with a worse line-up than we did the other day and . As for the quote "we are not that good" I think we are much better than the table shows currently, we are definitely punching way below our weight and you guys are way above where you should be. It also surprises me that, Sam decided to throw the Chelsea game, cos he and most of you guys felt we were there for the taking, so he prioritized our game as felt Chelsea were pretty much untouchable.

I agree, Arsenal should be doing better but you get no where by merit in this league, you either perform consistently (i.e., Chelsea/City) or you just make up the numbers.

I would not call finishing in the top 4 consistently for the past 17yrs "making the numbers". Particularly as we have done this under a strict financial regime, whilst we built our new stadium. Now we are ready to compete with the big boys.....

I'm realistic enough to know we have a fair way to go before we are at Arsenal's level but the gap is certainly closing.

Money talks. It's worth remembering that our entire starting 11 for this game cost about as much as Alexis Sanchez. This was a close game and and I am proud of the way we matched Arsenal in most areas and were unfortunate to end the game with nothing considering their vastly more expensive squad.

If we continue to build and add one or two quality players a season and with our move to the Olympic stadium now less than two years away, I predict we will be on a par with your lot in the not too distant future.

I like the Hammers, but you are a fair way off challenging the Top 4 at the moment. The stadium move will be an interesting one because for games against the big teams you will fill that stadium and generate huge match day revenues, although I wonder what sort of atmosphere there will be for a midweek game against Hull or Burnley. I think West Ham have some really good players in the squad at the moment and if you can add a bit more quality then you could be pushing the Spuds for a Europa spot in a couple of seasons.
