So what are your plans for tonight? I'm not a fan of New Year and can't stand the British mentality of going out and getting smashed, that's what people do every weekend so what's the point in doing the same old thing. So is anyone doing anything interesting? Of to a Turkish place early on and then it's at home with the family a few beers and one or two rums will be had.
It's Sir Alex Ferguson's birthday as well. Our plans for this evening were zero, which is exactly as I wanted it, but that all changed recently. On 22nd we went to a party and were asked by some friends whether we'd like to go to their place for new year. How can you say no when you've just told them you have no plans and they are staring you direct in the face?! They wanted us to come at 6pm, bring the dog and kids and stay the night. Using various excuses we've managed to negotiate an 8pm arrival and 12.30am departure. Happy new year.
