We were 8 points clear. Everyone knew that would be down to three by years end. We never win at St James' Park. They haven't clawed back ****. We have played every big team (bar Arsenal) away from home already in the first half of the season and STILL finished ahead of City. They have had no Aguero for like 2-.3 games mate and besides, their squad is awesome, Lose any of their first XI and you could still argue they have the best XI in the country. Costa has missed 4 games this season, Fabregas and Matic both missed games in the last couple of weeks. Hopefully the rest of the knobs will stop diving and picking up bookings so we get no more suspensions.
Many people have been sucked into the hype created at the start of the season. You flew out of the blocks but crack are already starting to show. City started slow, again. They are now grinding out results and will pick up form at the end of the season to storm to the title again (unfortunately).
They're the best side in the division by a street and it's only your blinkered bias that stops you accepting this patently obvious fact.
Maybe, we will just have to see. The newcastle away fixture, most of the Chelsea fans I know had it pegged as our first defeat even weeks before the game. Thats really the only setback (or crack as you call it) all our other results have been reasonable. All I know is that our fixture list for 2015 is a damn sight easier than Citys. But anything can happen.....
Of course they are. Based on literally nothing except they play their first choice 11 in all but a handful of games. and yes.... bias......... claiming City will win the title...... You should probably have a rethink about that one Tobes
Ive said for a while now that Jose will concentrate on europe. Thats his unfinished business and I suspect the fact RDM won it with Chelsea doesnt sit well with the ego maniac. So when the knockout stages come I can see you utilising your squad, which I think ( and Jose thinks based on appearances in all comps) isnt all its cracked up to be, in the league so your best 11 can go all guns blazing for Europe.
Indeed. Typical southern based plastic Manc, he can't bring himself to admit that Chelsea are the best side in the division as he'll undoubtedly have more contact with Chelsea fans darn sarf than City ones. Absolute balloon this lad.
Talking absolute bollocks again, you have no evidence of any of the claims you make, about Jose wanting Europe more than the league or him being pissed at RDM winning the CL. Total baseless fabrication
Freak result. Burnley have been in a good bit of form. You would know this if you paid attention to the rest of the league. They should have beaten Liverpool and were very good value for a point at City. I dont think City are great. Just relentless. Same as last season.
I would have agreed with you 100% up until recently. The argument seemed to be that Chelsea had played most of their tough away games already as they'd been to City, United and Liverpool. True but they've since played Saints, Stoke, Newcastle and Sunderland, accruing 6 points from 18. Didn't they have a similar problem last season ie dealing well with the "big" clubs and dropping points in games they should have been winning? City are doing a City ie making it as difficult for themselves as possible as their manager doesn't inspire them and is tactically clueless. The fact that they are only 3 points behind Chelsea is amazing really. Toure buggering off to the ACON could be terminal for them though, especially if Aguero doesn't come back soon to start winning games like the Burnley one.
Of course I don't but what we all know is Jose is an ego maniac. That is more than enough to claim hes likely going to want to gt the one trophy that eluded him at Chelsea the first time around. I am pretty sure that will have been Romans expectation too. At the end of the day, Jose flopped at Madrid (by his standards). He wont the league but Real, like Roman, aim for one thing and one thing only.
I quite agree that recent results haven't been favourable. We seem to be going through a dodgy patch, but how long do you think it will continue? For the rest of the season? The grounds I hate going to (other than where they are geographically placed) are St James, Britannia, Goodison and the Stadum of Light. Our results there are always dodgy. We have been to all of them now.......aswell as OT, Etihad, Anfield etc. I would call this a mini blip at the moment, if we lose to Spurs tomorrow then I may start to worry a little..
Ahh yes, a random statement about me being Southern really got me.... Oh and then the age old plastic jibe. Well done Tobes, well done. I've genuinely never seen you call anyone that before.
Failed at Madrid? What by breaking the stronghold of the best club side in the history of the game? Winning the league with a record number of wins, goals and points and having a 45 games unbeaten home record? Get back to Football manager you clueless ****
It's ironic really as I've recently discovered that Tobes is a 62 year old woman from Hawaii whos interestes include water polo and croche, the new Facebook link is a bitch. And as for Flappy Flanagan you really don't wnat to know!
