"Steve Bruce: Hull manager rules himself out of Newcastle role" http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30640919
To be honest what else would you expect him to say? If he declares he's interested Allam would probably just sack him then Bruce could end up unemployed if Newcastle don't want him
Who cares what they've said? Why else do your expect them to say? "I'd love the chance to **** off and work somewhere else so please take me else my current employers are gonna big to be mega pissed and probably send me to my garden" Pearson said he wasn't going, didn't he? Pearson the smarmy, nasty, blockheaded, dour, spiteful, horrible little ****. I also don't understand all this bollocks about McLaren staying with Derby? Why would he stay at a championship club who might get promoted when he could move to a Premiership club with a very decent squad and a track record of spending in 3 consecutive transfer windows? Chances are even if he gets Derby promoted he'd have a better squad here already than he could assemble at Derby anyway.
Just noticed this on the club's Facebook page. "Steve Bruce tells the media that links to any potential managerial vacancy at Newcastle United are an unwanted distraction, rules himself out of the running and reaffirms his commitment to guiding the Tigers up the Premier League table."
If he'd had any intention or interest in leaving, he would simply say nothing and avoid the media perhaps (like Pardew did). If he goes now, after coming out and saying he has no interest, he's going to look a real mug. On top of this, one thing I've learned about Brucie over the last couple of years is that he is painfully honest, so if he says he's staying, he's staying.
There has been no approach from Newcastle RE Bruce so it is only obvious and normal that Bruce says what he has this morning. If Newcastle did actually enquire for Bruce then I think it would be a different story. Bruce isn't going to shoot himself in the foot by publicly saying he would go to Newcastle, that would be suicidal because the first thing Allam would do is sack him or question his loyalty. Whilst I'm happy with what Bruce has said, it still doesn't give me total confidence that he will remain the hull city manager, purely because of the way football is today. Money talks and if Newcastle come knocking with an offer he cannot resist, and if Hull don't get a result any time soon then I believe Bruce would leave.
Well all the Hissy Fitters and anti-Bruce muppets will be crying now. HAHAHAHAHAHA As if he was ever going to take that job @ Sid James Park anyway. Maybe Phil Brown will toss his Hat into the ring for the post ? It now appears a right old Carve Up in Loony Toon Land. Even rumours now that ralks between Palace and Pardew have stalled. Hahaha if true. 2014 going out with a right old laugh ""when you factor in the Wba shambles as well"" nevermind knees up. For the true and proper Hull City fans this is good news and we can now get back to what matters most. Playtime is now over.!!!!
Good, cos I can only see that ending in tears. My way or the highway Pulis verses continental management structure Boardroom. Assurances made. Sit back and wait for the bickering.
