The couple called the police this evening when a user on the social media site posted a vile comment after striker Austin posted a photo of himself and his little girl, Ava Bella. Another tweeter joined in with another sick tweet Bianca Parker, 24, tweeted: "I've reported you to the police. I'm doing as much as I can to get you charged. "Bringing in my two-year-old daughter to your sick games is too far." Christmas next year this guy will be my husband @chazaustin9 xxx pic.twitter.com/8U8YXc48vE — Bianca Parker (@biancajayde1990) December 25, 2014 Distraught Bianca later told her followers: "Disgusting. I'm shaking. You don't talk about a baby that way. Let the police do their job now." Earlier in the evening Charlie, 26, had put a picture up of himself and little Ava Bella in a toy car at their home. "Austin is currently the highest British goal scorer in the Premier league with 10. He scored a hat-trick in QPR's win against West Brom last week. Manager Harry Redknapp has vowed to keep him at Loftus Road when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Went to the Twitter address of one of the scum... - redsham14 - QPR fans are hounding these sick fools on line now.
I can't see the comment but I think I'd have an idea of what it might say judging by the parents comments. They need to make an example of all these social media bastards who think it's OK to say whatever comes into their twisted little brains (presumably "for a laugh"). Prison sentences as a deterrent IMO.
Obviously some sick sh*t to be Tweeting but as I said before, pro footballers are very stupid going onto Twitter. If they had any grey matter between their ears they'd know the kind of sh*t they'd be letting themselves in for. Police time could be better served IMO.
I think Charlie and his fiance are naive for posting photos - but I read the comments and it turned my stomach. They should maybe know not to post personal photos once you are a celeb - but it is not their fault. I hope they people go to prison.
Don't understand why Austin or anyone, would post anything like that photo out in the open anywhere. He leaves himself and his family open to anything - there are unfortunately way too many sickos in this world.
I share the same name as a footballer who doesn't have twitter. Had to close the account as I was getting a fair amount of grief! Tend to agree with Swords - Police time is better spent elsewhere. Better to find out who they are and publish their names as they'll soon regret what they did.
Sorry, I don't buy into the idea that you're famous so you should know better. Dreary old publications like Hello and OK seem to delight in showing baby photos. Should Prince William know better for releasing much sought after pictures. If there was an article in a newspaper on Charlie Austin that showed his family, would a selection of grim entries in the comments below be acceptable? Twitter is not the Caribbean in the height of piracy, it's a modern means of communicating. If people are not allowed to reasonably communicate important things to them then Twitter should be shut down. It should be owned by those that wish to use it correctly, not for illegal speculation.
I actually messaged Charlie's missus last week to tell her to be more mindful of the pictures she posted, after she'd posted a picture of their kid in the bath. They both seem pretty naive when it comes to social media and they both take the bait whenever some scum bag goes fishing. Hopefully this will teach them a lesson, not that this should happen in the first place. But Twitter is like a soapbox for every little cretin with an internet connection.
Being over 50, I have absolutely no understanding why ppl would want to post photos (or any information) of themselves or their children on the internet. I feel sorry for Charlie and his missus, but this modern concept of broadcasting yourself and/or your family onto a world-wide forum, is bewildering.
The world has turned into a platform for the world to make statements about themselves without the "hassle" of actually having a conversation with anyone first. I must admit that I struggle a bit with this and it seems like an electronic form of those self-aggrandising round robin Christmas messages you get (apologies to anyone that makes or likes them but they're not my thing). Basically, people either just highlight the best bits to make everyone else's average up-down lives seem a bit more **** than they really are or flood onlookers with humdrum dross like how many Weetabix they've had this morning (once again, sorry if anyone does this - I'll just reiterate that it's not to my taste). It all seems a bit socially backward (and this is coming from someone who is a bit socially backward himself).
Were Charlie and his family trying to get over a bridge by any chance? I know this is deeply unpleasant, but the only thing Twitter is good for is to remind us just how many nasty little people there are out there.
sickening. What a complete ####. These trolls are normally sad f@@@s with nothing in life, like that woman who sent the McCann's all those abusive messages. Lets hope this w@@@@@ does the same as her and kills himself.
Naive or not, it doesn't give these low lives licence to threaten and abuse people. They think they are anonymous hiding behind their keyboards and probably think it's really funny, something to brag about to low life mates down the pub. Deserve to have the **** kicked out of them!
Fair enough Matt but I disagree. If you post pictures of yourself and your family up on the World Wide Web, where every headcase in the World can comment in whatever way they please, then I'm sorry but you should know better. And if you don't then its time you learned to cop on and stop contacting the fu*king Police because your feelings have been hurt. The Cops have proper serious sh*t to be getting on with without running after some anonymous clown who posted something distasteful on the internet. Austin is a good lad so perhaps its his missus who thinks they're above their station by believing that her own husband's irresponsible behaviour should warrant resources be directed their way ahead of normal Joe Soaps. Hopefully the Police just got onto them and gave them a stern dressing down for being so silly and they'll either delete their account or accept that not everyone on the Internet is going to be nice when you post a picture of your child on it. Take responsibility and stop crying to Nanny State to take care of everything for you! Rant over
So basically you're saying that Twitter and, more widely, the internet should only be used by those as thick skinned as the worst possible element on it? If that were the case then I'd count myself out for certain. Should this apply to real life too? Should my mum be subjected to obscenities because she leaves the confines of her house or does it only apply to the famous ones? How about if a pensioner goes out and everyone they see recognises them - does that mean they're suddenly fair game? The internet itself is riddled with terms and conditions that are breached by abusive messages and the law has been extended to apply to it so why shouldn't the law abiding be entitled to report those that make threats (jest or otherwise)?
Swords and Matt ( KooPeeR ) have both made valid points here and I'm not sure what the solution is yet . Especially when you consider that the 'Malicious Communications Act' although a law here in the UK, isn't necessarily applicable to other countries. Take for instance the sad incident of last week when the garbage truck killed six people in Glasgow. Some idiot in Sunderland made a very sick joke about it on twitter. Within 24 hours the police had him in custody. As twitter is global, if the comment was made by someone in Kuala Lumpur, then our laws wouldn't apply to them. Even though the same distress and upset has been caused you can't stop it regardless.
