Obviously it is entirely subjective. Last season was probably his best season in football and made us a much better team. As for the Robertson and Diame thing. It's only like a Chelsea fans saying they wouldn't want to see Costa leave or Southampton fans saying they wouldn't want to see Pelle leave.
If you think he slows our play down, you should see us without him! Sorry bum chin but that's a nonsense, Huddlestone is practically the only player that gives us tempo.
Yep he did, and Buckingham. Both told me to save my money when he was 40/1 and refusing to categorically rule himself out.
Not the way I see it, he constantly checks back when a midfielder breaking the lines would add a total new dimension to our attacking play. Interesting isnt it the way people regularly say put Messi in our team and he would score cos of lack of chances and then they praise our centre midfield...
The difference is they're in the top 4 so the team is clearly doing brilliantly. We're ****ing woeful and I'd suggest the way to change that is to change players. Radical I know. And our manager has chosen not to pick Robertson.
What has that got to do with it? Have you never listened to /read a credible pundit's thoughts and asked "what they hell are they on about?" Ok, any stupid comment from a pundit now we wont discuss on here cos they clearly know more about our club than any of us do. As an aside I've spent 10 years working with football pundits and the majority of the time they're not even watching the game and when the crowd reacts they turnaround and ask what happened.
I wasn't attacking your stance on the owner by refusing his free gifts, I was merely saying that your TV view shows. What you don't see is the runners off the ball, Huddlestone never fails to spot them and rarely fails to connect with an effortless 70 yard pass on his weak foot. Livermore makes those passes on occasion but more often than not the midfield will just play short passes across by which time the open man is closed down and under pressure. Toms also very good at keeping hold of the ball in tight spaces whilst the rest of the team pushed out from defence, none of the other midfielders do that.
A while back you said you're not a reporter. And you don't do the teas either so what is the media link you have that you like to vaguely mention from time to time?
Bruce will want that Job. WHILST manager of Hull he's stated that he regrets not managing Newcastle when he had the chance but still hopes to have the chance again. Bruce will jump ship if they want him. Can't he go for free in the Summer? Out of contract? Could be Carver till the End of the Season with Bruce going in the Summer. He'd make a cheap appointment for Newcastle, Something that will appeal to Ashley as he's looking to off load the Club. He gave Pardew a cheep 8 year contract regardless of Pardew being useless remember. Mags will want better than Bruce, but they wanted better than Pardew too. Brucie is favorite for the Job, Probably because all the circumstance add up before the info starts leaking so he's the obvious choice for the early front runner.
The only players I'd desperately want to keep are Chezzy, Diame and Robertson (for his potential). Jelavic could probably be added to that list but it would depend how much we were offered for him. With regards to Huddlestone, I thought Cambiasso did a much better job for Leicester in his role than Tom has done for us this season in particular.
Won't have taken much money to shift those odds fella. That's what these markets are like. Worthington's odds will shorten even more now as people chuck money on him before it cuts further. Very easy market to manipulate.
I'm not so sure he will want the job. The Geordies will hate him for dirtying his hands with the filth from across the Wear and he will know that. Ashley won't give him money to spend either and he won't have control over letting players go. This a moot point anyway as they won't pay the compensation to taka a manager away from another club.
The compo won't be much. Bruce is nearly out of contract isn't he? I was under the impression he had six month left. Plus the last contract Bruce signed was a Championship contract. Puts him in an affordable wage category. Just don't think it's beyond the realms. Like I said, it's my points that have made Bruce favorite for the job, not substance, but circumstances and logic. I expect him to drift once the real info is leaked. I think John Carver stepping in until the end of the season is the most likely appointment.
