<peacedove>Raheem Sterling should had been sent off last night and he cannot blame any one.
Raheem please get your acts together. Carragher was suggesting that you wants to leave Liverpool
that was why you behaved that way. Quite wrong Sterling !

“Hopefully I can achieve the goals I want to achieve here at Liverpool in years to come,” he said.
“I am happy to be here for as long as possible like the big names that are on that wall. I am just happy to play football at this football club for many years to come.
“The club has spoken to my representatives about a new contract and hopefully something can be done really soon.”

He was an idiot last night, but when he was picking himself up the Swanswa player touched him on the back of the head, he looked up and hit him back with a Markovic (hit to the eye) weighted shot. Both as bad as eachother from either team.

Sterling though, he will be off in the summer, someone will bid for him I'm sure.

Think he saw the pat on the neck as patronising and reacted really stupidly - can't believe there was no red for it

I agree, don't think he'll leave in the Summer at all.

I don't see how you can think that way. With his contracts he is clearly a greedy little money grabber and I think he would bugger off for a big contract at one of Europe's elite teams the day they put an offer in.

That works both ways though, we don't what is actually going on in the background and he may well want to stay, as fans we are quick to pick up on media speculation and hang the player out to dry without actually knowing what is going on.

I posted a quote from him earlier that states he wants to stay. I would also take that with a pinch of salt though.

Heaven forfend a player would show ambition!!!

Reality check lfc are miles off European elite level so if a club turns up not one of our players would stay... Coutinho... Sterling... Pick a name, they'd all go.

    Jeez!

By today's criteria he should have walked, no doubt about it, but is that really a reason to start slagging off our best player so far this season?
It seems like some people just can't help themselves, the slightest opportunity to lay into someone and they're all over it.

IMO he's been brilliant, if you take into consideration his age and the fact that he's had to do it all by himself you have to give him credit for digging in.

Am in the Heemio will stay camp. Only as long as we push on from last night's good performance and win. If we capitulate again and end up outside the top 6 he will consider his options as he would be entitled to.

Yeh he shouldn't have lashed out but he was provoked by the Swansea player. It's being blown out of proportion as it's nothing like as bad as the Cisse elbow or Shelvey's on Can. Can't see many headlines about it anyway.

If Sterling left now, to Madrid or Bayern for example, I can only see his career going the way of Michael Owens.

Rodgers has shown he can be stubborn with a player by stopping Suarez going to Arsenal so I feel sure that Sterling will not play for another English club.

I think that's more a problem with how much Johnson is earning rather than how 'little' the others are getting. Sterling's on a great wage (60k?), particularly for his age and experience
