Had a really good day, just the clearing up to do now, but that can wait until the morning. The result today cheered me back up again after the shambles on Boxing Day. Are we always destined to spend our Watford lives on a roller coaster? :emoticon-0107-sweat

:emoticon-0148-yes:Morning, Dave; morning, yorkshire; morning, AK; morning all. :)

Is it that cold in Yorks this morning, yorkshire? I'm still in bed in a Santa onesie (I'm irresistible ;)) and Mrs ATR firmly asleep.

AK, forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere, if it was I missed it. Is your avatar an anti-eu membership thing? Just interested. :)

Morning one and all, the brightest sunniest morning you could wish for, but outside it is -6°C and that is blooming cold. Don't think I will be going outside too much except to refill the basket with logs.

Very wintry here with more than a foot of snow already and more on the way - no blue skies here. Expected to start thawing on thursday.

I think it's warmer outside than it is in my office :( Ah well, the 3 points from yesterday should keep the old heart warm till this aftrenoon.

Comes around all too quickly but tomorrow is the next trip to the Royal Free for Mrs L's scan. Always a tough trip and wait till we get the results on Monday. Will help define how good the New Year is for us.

I am certain that everyone here hopes that you get the right results again. <ok>

Could they do a quick scan on your problem while you are there? :emoticon-0125-mmm:

Strangely just been speaking to my daughter who works for it. Her other half has his father in hospital at present and when they went to visit found that the staff had not been doing what they should have. My little one had to tell them what medication was required, and when they supplied it, it has started to help his condition. It really seems to be a lottery who is looking after you.

Good luck to Mrs L for her results. I heard the NHS or for me SÍ is good in France, does not help for you this time.

Thanks everyone. I have to say that the Royal Free has been excellent for Mrs L - they are very caring and pay a great deal of attention to all her test results at each visit and make helpful suggestions. It is not their fault the drugs to cure her type of cancer do not yet exist.

As for me it is only pain and a typical X ray can take weeks or months to arrange. I am going to try to find a decent Osteopath in the New Year to see if that can help
